Apparatuses and systems for analog/digital input architecture having programmable analog output mode are described herein. One apparatus includes a current source component to create a current source, a pulse-width modulation (PWM) control component to implement an analog output mode, wherein the analog output mode is implemented on a same input/output terminal as at least one other device mode, a dither input component to receive a dither signal, a current shunt component to create an input shunt, a resistance/thermistor input pull-up component to provide an excitation voltage, a voltage/current input scaling component to provide input prescaling, an input protection component to protect at least one port of the apparatus from damage, and an input filter component to provide filtering to high frequency noise.

Analog/digital input architecture having programmable analog output mode

A system for configuring objects such as buttons for screens presented in a touch screen display. The configuration may be automatically based on preset styles. The graphical elements or icons and textual elements may be created once but used multiple times in various places. Multiple graphical and textual elements may be displayed on any button of the screens. The system may be based on the use of a predefined set of button styles that define the layout of each textual and graphical element in basic terms, such as left, right, and center. These styles do not necessarily prescribe a size, but a layout of the elements. The sizing, layout, justification, and clipping of each element may be determined by the button style. For each button style, the assigned textual and graphical elements may be automatically placed for the best or optimal layout and fit.

Automatic configurator of display objects

A unitary control module having adjustable input and output mapping functionality, including methods of configuring such devices for use in different applications, are disclosed. The unitary control module can include a unit type selector such as a DIP-switch that can be used by an installer to configure the control module to emulate a particular type of controller. The control module can be configured to run a selection algorithm for configuring the mapping of the input terminals and output terminals for the device based on the controller type selected. In use, the control module may run different control algorithms for controlling the system components based on the controller type selected.
