A delivery system for implanting a medical device comprises a delivery catheter having an inner lumen, a mandrel received in the inner lumen of the delivery catheter and movable with respect to the delivery catheter, and an adapter piece connected to the mandrel, wherein the adapter piece, by moving the mandrel with respect to the delivery catheter, is displaceable between a first position in which the adapter piece is received within the inner lumen of the delivery catheter and a second position in which the adapter piece is arranged outside of the inner lumen of the delivery catheter. The electronic module is electrically coupled to the pacing electrode via the housing, and wherein the electronic module is configured to carry out measurements of electrical activity via the at least one first electrode of the elongated lead extension.

Tools and method for subcutaneous device insertion

A system and method for installing/implanting a leadless implant can include a leadless implant with shortened tine-based anchors and an implantation tool with a modified tip. The tines can extend from a surface of the leadless implant and may include a preformed curve or other shape to enable the tine to hook into or grapple tissue. The implantation tool may be provided with a modified tip to assist with proper alignment, insertion, and anchoring of the shortened tines. A tip of the implantation tool can have a reduced inner diameter to cause the tine tips to be approximately normal to the surface of the tissue to which the implant is being anchored. Upon deployment of the leadless implant, the tines of the anchoring mechanism are appropriately aligned for proper insertion so that robust anchoring is achieved.

An integrated interconnect tab that provides a mechanically repeatable connection point to electrical components mounted on a printed circuit board. The integrated interconnect tab comprises a conductive pad surrounded by a vertical sidewall structure formed in an overmolded insulating layer. In one embodiment, a large pad accommodates connections to high-power circuit elements such as batteries and high-voltage capacitors. The sidewall structure helps align and guide the position of an interconnecting device such as a wire ribbon connector, facilitating automation of a subsequent attachment process. An automated method of making a PCB assembly having integrated interconnect tabs entails attaching circuit elements and interconnect tabs to a surface of a PCB substrate, encapsulating the attached components, and selectively machining the encapsulating layer to expose weld tabs, to form the vertical sidewall structure surrounding the tabs, and to create mechanical retention features to aid in welding.
