Techniques for validating alignment between network element configuration and DNS records associated with a communication network are presented. Alignment management component (AMC) can retrieve respective configuration parameter data items relating to respective configuration parameters associated with respective resource-related identifiers, and respective metadata items associated with the respective resource-related identifiers, from a configuration data store; and retrieve respective DNS records from respective DNS name servers, based on analyzing the respective metadata items associated with respective DNS records. For each resource-related identifier that is supposed to have a corresponding DNS record, based on the result of analyzing the respective configuration parameter data items and respective DNS records, AMC can determine whether the resource-related identifier has a corresponding DNS record stored in the DNS name server indicated by the metadata item. AMC can generate an audit report comprising a missing DNS record data item for each DNS record determined to be missing.

Validation of alignment of wireless and wireline network function configuration with domain name system records

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method in which a processing system creates a network element by consolidating a control plane including a combination of a plurality of 5G control plane functions and a plurality of IMS control plane functions with an associated user plane including a combination of a 5G user plane function (UPF) and one or more IMS user plane functions. The method also includes deploying the network element at a network edge of the service provider network, receiving a request from a user endpoint (UE) device for a network service, and attaching the UE to the network element. The network element is configured to facilitate providing the requested network service. Other embodiments are disclosed.

System and method for deployment of 5G and next-generation core with IMS core for real-time applications

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a device in which a processing system defines service attributes for a function of an internet multimedia subsystem (IMS) core; the function is dedicated for providing a service to a user endpoint (UE) device. The processing system facilitates constructing a resource profile of the IMS core that includes the function; registering the function at a network repository function (NRF) associated with the IMS core; discovering the function from the NRF; obtaining a service requirement of the UE; and matching the service requirement with the service attributes in accordance with matching criteria. Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a device including a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations of: receiving domain name system (DNS) record changes; identifying errors from the DNS record changes; discarding the DNS record changes responsive to the errors identified; scheduling the DNS record changes responsive to a lack of errors identified; translating the DNS record changes into protocol specific formats; and provisioning the protocol specific formats of the translated DNS record changes. System and method for managing domain name system records

A method for bundling network functions as a single microservice in a cloud environment. A service deployment manager may acquire subscriber location information associated with a subscriber or a subscriber profile associated with the subscriber. Moreover, the service deployment manager may utilize the subscriber location information or the subscriber profile to select a cloud location. For example, the cloud location may be based on load, geographical proximity, service profile, etc.
