A composition capable of phase separation contains an epoxy resin and an impact modifier formed from at least one dimer fatty acid and/or dimer fatty diol. The composition is suitable for use as an adhesive, particularly in microelectronics.

Epoxy resin composition

A microcellular polyurethane obtainable by reacting a polyisocyanate, a polyester formed from a dimer fatty acid and/or dimer fatty diol, and a chain extender. The foam is particularly suitable for use as a component of shoe soles.

Polyurethane foam

A coating composition containing an epoxy resin and a curing agent comprising a trimer fatty triamine and/or higher oligomeric amine. The coating composition is particularly suitable for use as a primer coating layer on concrete and steel.

Detergent or micelle free cleaning media based on detergent free and/or micelle free liquid COand including from 0.01 to 5% by weight of the formulation of a cleaning additive which is at least one multi-ester having a molecular weight of not more than 750 can be used in dry cleaning of textiles. Desirable cleaning additives are of the formula (1): R(XR)where X, R, R, and n have defined meanings, particularly to be esters of multi-carboxylic acids and mono-hydroxy alcohols or esters of mono-carboxylic acids and multi-hydroxy alcohols.

Method for cleaning textiles

A block copolyester comprises a hard segment and a soft segment, wherein the melting point of the copolyester is greater than or equal to 200&deg; C., and the glass transition temperature of the copolyester is less than or equal to &minus;40&deg; C. The hard segment is preferably polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, or polyethylene naphthalate. The soft segment is preferably formed from at least one dimer fatty acid and/or dimer fatty diol and/or equivalent thereof. The copolyester is especially suitable for use in automotive parts, particularly where thermal stability is required.

Block copolyester

An ester based lubricant, particularly suitable for 4-stroke engines comprises at least one ester of a saturated, branched chain monohydric alcohol having at least 8 carbon atoms and a saturated branched chain aliphatic monocarboxylic acid having at least 10 carbon atoms. The esters have a kinematic viscosity of at most 35 cSt (40&deg; C.), a non-polarity index of at least 100, a Noack evaporation loss of at most 10% and a pour point below &minus;30&deg; C.
