A set of circuit interrupters and electrical enclosures that are configured to permit an electrical enclosure having a current rating to have connected therewith a circuit interrupter having a current carrying rating no greater than the current rating. However, a current interrupter having a current carrying rating less than the current rating of the electrical enclosure potentially may be connected therewith. Such electrical interruption equipment employs threaded studs on bus bars that are of varying sizes and/or are separated by varying distances in order to resist an electrical enclosure having a current rating from being electrically connected with a circuit interrupter having a current carrying rating greater than the current rating. Alternatively or additionally, the circuit interrupter and/or the electrical enclosure may have interference elements that physically interfere with the mounting and/or the electrical connection of a circuit interrupter having a current carrying rating with an electrical enclosure having a current rating less than the current carrying rating.

Plug-on neutral circuit breakers include an AFCI OR GFCI circuit breaker housing, a neutral conductor with an external end portion extending from the AFCI/GFCI circuit breaker housing, and a clip assembly attached to the neutral conductor at a specific length configured to align with the loadcenter neutral bar location. The clip assembly includes a conductive clip with downwardly extending, spaced apart legs. The legs are sized and configured to clamp against opposing sides of a neutral bar.

Plug-on neutral breakers and related methods

An insert-molded bus assembly for an electrical distribution load center interior is described. The apparatus of the present teachings comprises at least one bus element insert-molded into an insulation element of the distribution load center creating an amalgamated insert-molded bus assembly. The amalgamated insert-molded bus assembly may also include a molded backpan, or may be detachably or permanently fastened to a separate backpan of the distribution load center interior.

A load center assembly comprising a main circuit breaker configured to be connected with bus plates through side openings in the main circuit breaker is described. The openings in the main circuit breaker comprise plug-on clips by which the bus plates connect. The plug-on clips are configured to use friction to grasp the bus plates as the bus plates are slidably inserted between the jaws of the plug-on clips.

An improved gangable meter center for distributing electric power to and measuring electric power consumption by a plurality of individually measured units in a complex comprises: a plurality of meters for measuring the electric power consumption by the plurality of individually measured units in the complex; and a plurality of feeder buses electrically coupled between at least one utility line supplying power to the plurality of individually measured units in the complex, wherein the plurality of meters are included within the meter center without use of a meter socket. Ganged meter centers comprise at least two such gangable meter centers.

Expandable meter center employing digital electronic meter assemblies

An electrical connector assembly is provided for electrically connecting an electrical apparatus, such as a circuit breaker, to an electrical bus member. The electrical connector assembly includes a contact stab extending outwardly from the electrical bus member. The contact stab includes first and second sides having first and second indentations, respectively, which are disposed opposite one another. A clip member mechanically couples and electrically connects the circuit breaker to the contact stab. The clip member includes a first leg and a second leg disposed opposite and distal from the first leg. The first leg engages the first indentation of the first side of the contact stab and the second leg engages the second indentation of the second side of the contact stab, thereby retaining the clip member on the contact stab.
