An improved regenerative separating device for separating impurities from an airflow, in particular a process exhaust airflow, provides a better distribution of the airflow in an annular gap between a rotary separating unit including a plurality of filter blocks for adsorbing impurities from the airflow and a circumferential wall of a housing incorporating the rotary separating unit. The airflow inlet provided in the circumferential wall for introducing the airflow into the annular gap and a regeneration system for regenerating the filter blocks of the rotary separating unit by a regenerating stream passing through the filter blocks to desorb impurities adsorbed in the filter blocks are both positioned in the same circumferential sector of maximum 180 degrees.

Regenerative separating device for separating impurities from an airflow

An improved regenerative separating device for separating impurities from an airflow, in particular a process exhaust airflow, provides a better distribution of the airflow in an annular gap between a rotary separating unit comprising a plurality of filter blocks for adsorbing impurities from the airflow and a circumferential wall of a housing incorporating the rotary separating unit. A method for separating impurities from process exhaust air is provided and includes the steps of passing a process exhaust air through a separating device comprising a separation unit, regenerating the separating device by passing a regeneration stream therethrough, where outer lateral surfaces of the separation unit are continuously loaded by the process exhaust air and the regeneration stream, dividing the regeneration stream passing through the separating device during regeneration into a first partial stream having an impurity concentration less than a first predetermined limit, and a second partial stream having an impurity concentration equal to or greater than a second predetermined limit, where the second predetermined limit is equal to or greater than the first predetermined limit, returning the first partial stream generated during regeneration to the separating device and directing the second partial stream generated during regeneration to a cleaning device.

Method and regenerative separating apparatus for separating contaminants from process exhaust air

An apparatus for thermal exhaust gas purification includes at least one thermal reactor to which a raw gas to be purified is supplied and in which the supplied raw gas is thermally purified, and an energy recovery apparatus to which a gas purified in the thermal reactor is supplied via at least one outlet line. For improving the balance of energy, it is proposed that the energy recovery apparatus includes at least one condensation heat exchanger in which the purified gas is cooled down such that condensable substances contained in the purified gas condense, and enthalpies released thereby are transmitted to a heat exchange medium and/or the raw gas upstream of the thermal reactor.

Apparatus and method for thermal exhaust gas purification

A method for separating organic solvents from solvent-containing process exhaust air, where the process exhaust air is directed through a separation zone of a separating device, and the separating device is regenerated by passing a regeneration stream through a regeneration zone of the separating device. The regeneration stream passing through the separating device is divided into a first partial stream having an impurity concentration less than a first predetermined limit, and a second partial stream having an impurity concentration equal or greater than a second predetermined limit, by a divider, where the second predetermined limit is equal to or greater than the first predetermined limit, to return the first partial stream generated during regeneration to the separating device and direct the second partial stream generated during regeneration to a cleaning device.

Methods and apparatus for cross flow process reactors are disclosed. A disclosed example includes a process chamber having an inlet and an outlet to allow a flow of fluid to flow therethrough and a plurality of trays disposed within the process chamber, and containing bulk material to treat the fluid. The example apparatus also includes a flow director to divide the flow into a plurality of partial flow streams, where each partial flow stream is to be directed towards at least one tray of the plurality of trays.
