The present invention relates to a distributed antenna system for transmitting and/or receiving radio frequency, RF, signals, wherein said antenna system comprises at least one elliptical waveguide which comprises a plurality of openings. A hybrid cable for telecommunications systems is disclosed. The hybrid cable may include a plurality of fiber-optic cables and power cables extending within an armor member and an outer jacket in a main body portion of the hybrid cable, and extending outside of the armor member and the outer jacket in a termination portion of the hybrid cable. Shielded tube assemblies may be attached to the power cables in the termination portion to provide electrical shielding to the power cables in the termination portion of the hybrid cable. The shielded tube assemblies may be attached to the armor member to electrically ground the shielded tube assemblies. A method of constructing a hybrid cable is also disclosed.

There is provided a device for electrically conductive contacting of a pipe having a band shaped metallic clamp () with two end parts (), wherein the clamp is equipped with parts of a closing device () at both end parts. Furthermore, the embedded material leaves free both end parts of the clamp enabling a direct contact between both end parts in an assembly position of the device around the pipe.

A geometrically-structured coaxial cable may prevent infiltration of water vapor and other contaminants by using a closed cell structure. The cable may be fabricated by wrapping bubble tape around its central conductor. Alternatively, plastic may be extruded through channels to create a plurality of layers. In either case, these layers are staggered in a zig-zag pattern to ensure that no radial spokes connect the inner and outer conductors of the coaxial cable without passing through a plurality of dielectric layers.

A radiating coaxial high-frequency cable is provided with openings in the outer conductor which are in the form of slots (,) arranged substantially perpendicular to the cable axis. The slots (,) are arranged in sections which are arranged consecutively without gaps in the longitudinal direction of the cable and whose axial length is dimensioned according to the high-frequency energy to be transmitted. The number of slots (,) is greater in the sections which are farther away from the feed location of the high-frequency energy than in the sections which are closer to the feed location. When the length of the cable is increased, several sections (A) with an identical number of slots are arranged consecutively without gaps, provided that subsequent sections (A) have a larger effectual opening when the system damping between the high-frequency cable and an antenna located outside the cable reaches a predetermined value.
