A method for arranging an electrochemically active element on a fastening device which has a first holder with at least one cylindrical spacing element and has a second holder with at least one cylindrical spacing element, including: a) providing an electrochemically active element whose electrolyte side can be arranged to adjoin an electrolyte chamber and whose gas side can be arranged to adjoin a gas chamber of an electrochemical cell; b) arranging the at least one spacing element of the first holder on the gas side and arranging the at least one spacing element of the second holder on the electrolyte side of the electrochemically active element, the at least one spacing element on the electrolyte side being aligned axially with respect to the at least one spacing element on the gas side. An electrochemical cell in which an electrochemically active element is arranged on a fastening device.

Various embodiments include an electrolysis cell with a housing with an anode and a gas diffusion electrode connected as cathode. The gas diffusion electrode has an electrolyte side and a gas side and separates the electrolyte space from a gas space for a reaction gas. There is a support body disposed in the gas space with a contact surface in contact with the gas diffusion electrode. The gas space comprises a first channel system and a second channel system. The first channel system and the second channel system run separately from one another and thus form two separate volumes of the gas space. The first channel system and the second channel system each have openings in the contact surface of the support body.

The present disclosure relates to electrolysis. For example, an electrolysis system for carbon dioxide utilization may include: an electrolysis cell having an anode and a cathode, where carbon dioxide reduces at the cathode to at least one hydrocarbon compound or to carbon monoxide; first and second electrolyte reservoirs; a first product gas line from the first electrolyte reservoir; a second product gas line from the second electrolyte reservoir; a first connecting line supplying electrolyte from the first electrolyte reservoir to the anode; a second connecting line taking electrolyte from the anode to the second electrolyte reservoir; a third connecting line supplying electrolyte from the second electrolyte reservoir to the cathode; a fourth connecting line taking electrolyte from the cathode off to the first electrolyte reservoir; and a pressure-equalizing connection directly connecting the first and second electrolyte reservoirs.

A self-regulated valve assembly contains a valve body which, in the lower part, has an input section for a connection to a tank intended to contain a fluid under pressure and, in the upper part, an output for connection to a pipe system. A piston is movable in the valve body along a first axis between an open position, enabling the fluid to communicate between the input section and the output, and a closed position. A spring type module is coupled to the piston and to the valve body and interacts dynamically with the piston at least after an actuation of the valve and during the entire cycle of self-regulation of the valve, imposing a positioning of the piston between its open and closed position. The spring type module is positioned beneath the lower sealing section of the piston and the dimensions of the valve assembly can be considerably reduced.

The disclosure relates to an operating method for a gas sensor, in particular a gas sensor for detecting asthma. According to said method, nitrogen monoxide or nitrogen dioxide is detected in a measuring phase and the gas sensor is heated by a heating device in a desorption phase in order to accelerate desorption.
