A pressure trip unit for an electrical switch, including an actuating element and at least one flow channel per electrical pole, is disclosed. In an embodiment, the at least one pole of the electrical switch includes at least two switching contacts for making or disconnecting a flow path. The switching contacts of the at least one pole of the electrical switch are disconnectable via the actuating element which can respond to a pressure generated in a disconnection zone of the, in each case, two switching contacts by an electric arc drawn in the event of an electrodynamic recoil of the switching contacts. A rotor is disclosed for an electric switch. In an embodiment, the rotor includes a rotor housing and a rotatably mounted contact link, which has two movable contacts. In an embodiment, by rotation of the rotor, the two movable contacts are configured to interact with two stationary contacts of an electric switch so as to close or open a circuit. Further, the rotatably mounted contact link is mounted movably in the rotor housing in a direction perpendicular to the direction of the contact link in its closing position.

An electrical switch is disclosed for switching an electric current, the switch being suitable for being inserted into a switch holding device. In at least one embodiment, the switch includes a locking device which, in the event of an overcurrent, moves a locking element of the locking device to a position which mechanically locks the switch in the switch holding device.

One embodiment of the present invention relates to a coupling arrangement for transmission of the rotational movement of a switching shaft of an electrical switch to at least one position signalling device including a mount and including at least one coupling, which is mounted on the mount so that it can rotate, via which the switching shaft is mechanically operatively connected to a device for operation of the at least one position signalling device, when the electrical switch is in the test position or in the operating position. In order to simplify the physical design, an embodiment of the invention provides that the mount be provided with a bayonet contour and that the coupling be provided with at least one bayonet projection, such that the coupling is connected to the mount in the form of a bayonet fitting by means of a plugging-in movement followed by a rotary movement, and that a stop device be arranged on the mount, limiting the movement path of the coupling, which is connected to the mount, to its rotary movement.

Switch activated slide linkage

An electrical contact device for an arrangement includes two apparatuses, between which a relative movement takes place along a first movement path. In at least one embodiment, the electrical contact device includes a first contact, including a first contact surface, and includes a second contact including a first multiplicity of contact arms, each provided with a contact projection for making contact with the first contact surface. In at least one embodiment, in order to prevent excessive friction wear to the first contacts even when the contact projections of the associated second contacts are arranged successively in the same direction as the first movement path, at least one device is provided for controlling a relative movement between the two contacts along a second movement path, which runs parallel to the first contact surface of the first contact and obliquely with respect to the first movement path.

At least one embodiment of the invention provides that, for a closing apparatus for a part rack withdrawable via V-shaped rod assemblies, the closing apparatus includes at least one pin formed on rod assemblies or as part of them, each pin engaging in a slot in an actuating element. Owing to the use of the slots, the actuating element can be formed as a rigid body, with the result that no frictional forces need to be overcome when inserting a circuit breaker into a withdrawable-part rack with the closing apparatus according to at least one embodiment of the invention. With the closing apparatus according to at least one embodiment of the invention, a locking element can have a particularly simple design: it can be guided in the actuating element.

Closing apparatus for a withdrawable-part rack

A closure device for a withdrawable rack adapted for receiving power circuit breaker includes a plate arrangement having at least two plates provided with openings and movable relative to one another so that the plate arrangement is changeable between an open position in which the openings of the plates are in alignment and a closed position in which the openings are out of alignment. An actuating mechanism is acted upon by the power circuit breaker as it is inserted to cause a movement of at least one of the plates to thereby change the plate arrangement between the closed and open positions. The actuating mechanism includes two V-shaped linkage assemblies. Each linkage assembly has two legs connected by a hinge to allow the linkage assembly to spread apart, with one of the legs having a free end which is connected to the at least one of the plates, and a coupler is connected to the hinge. Both couplers are jointly articulated to actuating element.

Closure device for a withdrawable rack

A protective unit may prevent contact with conductive contacts in a withdrawable rack of a switching device. This may include one displaceable protective plate and lever arrangement for operating the protective plate. The lever arrangement has two levers that are interconnected in an articulated manner, of which a first lever can be operated by way of the switching device and the second lever is coupled to the mobile protective plate. A linking joint of the two levers acts simultaneously as the pivot bearing of the first lever and the first lever can be pivoted out of the displacement path of the switching device into an end position by way of a slide block that runs in a graded manner in the pivoting direction of the first lever.

A travelling mechanism for a withdrawable circuit-breaker includes a crank handle that is secured in a manner that prevents it from being removed. A shaft of the crank handle revolves around an input shaft and is guided in a manner that permits it to be displaced in relation thereto. An accommodating recess holds the crank handle in its inoperative position. In its working position, the crank handle can only be pulled out when a locking lever that is dependent on the switching position of the circuit-breaker releases a locking slot on the shaft of the crank handle. In the working position, the crank handle is secured by a locking slide. An indicating device for indicating the position of the circuit-breaker comprises a two-armed indicating lever, which is provided with a window opening that permits the entry of a tongue of the locking slide in the test position.

Travelling mechanism for a withdrawable circuit-breaker

A device is for fixing a circuit breaker in an insertion rack. The device includes at least one arresting unit which is connected to the insertion rack and belongs to the power circuit breaker. The arresting unit is connected to a control rod which is movably arranged on the insertion rack in such a way that it is displaceable from a locking position to an unlocking position and vice-versa. The control rod interacts with a system which moves the power circuit breaker in relation to the insertion rack. The device also includes a release device which can be displaced from the locking position of the control rod to the releasing position thereof and vice-versa by way of the power circuit breaker.

A device is for controlling the movement of a blocking mechanism in an electric switch which is displaceably arranged in a switch cell. The device includes a push element and an oblique surface, whereby the oblique surface extends in the fitting position of the device in the direction of the travel of the switch and the push element can be maintained in a displaceable manner dependent on the position of a door of the switch cell in the switch cell. The push element co-operates with the oblique surface, acting on the blocking mechanism in such a way that the blocking mechanism is located in a release position when the door is closed and in a blocking position when the door is open. The device can be constructed in a simple manner by virtue of the fact that the oblique surface is inclined in a perpendicular position with respect to the direction of travel of the switch and the displacement path of the push element extends in a transversal manner with respect to the direction of travel.

Device for controlling a blocking mechanism of an electric switch in a switch cell

A retrofittable earthling device includes a first contact arranged on the switching device and a second contact arranged on the module frame by way of a contact carrier. They are adjacently spring-mounted, during the movement of the switching device from its point of separation into its operating position. In order to relieve the contact carrier, in one such device, of electrodynamic effects and thus to make the same easy to assemble, the contact carrier includes a first partial region for connecting an earthing device, and a second partial region which can be connected to the second contact, in addition to a contact strip connecting the two partial regions. The first partial region can be connected to the module frame in a fixed manner and the second partial region is held on the rear wall of the module frame, with transversal play in relation to the direction of movement of the switching device.

Device for earthing a switching device arranged in a module frame in a displaceable manner

An electric switch includes a drive shaft that can be actuated by means of a hand crank and a blocking mechanism for blocking actuation of the drive shaft. The hand crank has a shaft that can be displaced along the drive shaft and that is protected against removal by the drive shaft and a crank arm that is axially fixed on the shaft and is wound by the shaft. In order to configure that blocking mechanism in such a way that a blocking force substantially smaller in comparison with the torque of the drive shaft is needed in order to block actuation of the drive shaft, a recess is provided on the front side of the switch, into which the crank arm can be lowered in an anti-rotational manner by displacing the shaft, wherein the blocking mechanism that has been activated for blocking fixes the shaft axially once the crank arm has been lowered into the recess.
