A MoCA splitter device may include an input port, a first output port and a second output port, a first transmission line configured to connect the input port to the first output port, a second transmission line configured to connect the input port to the first output port, a first isolation element configured to connect the first transmission line to the second transmission line, a second isolation element configured to connecting the first transmission line to the second transmission line. The first isolation element and the second isolation element are configured to provide an isolation level between the first output port and the second output port that is less than a predetermined isolation level of about less than 16 dB in a MoCA frequency band.

MoCA splitter device

A filter circuit includes a pass band filter portion configured to pass signals in a first frequency spectrum and attenuate or block signals in a second frequency spectrum. The first frequency spectrum and the second frequency spectrum do not overlap. The pass band filter portion is configured to cause a return loss of more than 10 decibels (dB) in the first frequency spectrum.

A system for suppressing radiofrequency noise includes a modem and an energy transfer device. The modem includes a coaxial radiofrequency port that is configured to connect to a first ground. This invention disclosure relates to a community access television (CATV) signal distribution system which improves signal isolation issues for systems which are distributing both CATV signals and in-home entertainment (IHE) signals. The signal distribution system includes a signal input port, a first multi-port signal splitter and a second multi-port signal splitter. The first multi-port signal splitter is coupled to the signal input port through a first diplexer, and the second multi-port signal splitter is coupled to the signal input port through a second diplexer. In some embodiments the first diplexer high-pass node and the second diplexer high-pass node are coupled together. In some embodiment the signal distribution system includes a signal output port coupled to the signal input port through a third diplexer. The high-pass node of the third diplexer is coupled to the high-pass node of the first diplexer.

Method and apparatus for reducing isolation in a home network

A noise mitigation device includes a signal processing unit positioned within a signal path. The signal processing unit is configured to determine a power level of the signal path at a first time and a second time. The signal processing unit is also configured to determine a dynamic noise threshold based on the power level at the first time and at the second time. The signal processing unit is also configured to store the dynamic noise threshold for a predetermined time period that is longer than a time between the first time and the second time. The signal processing unit is also configured to actuate a switch in the signal path into a first state when the power level exceeds the dynamic noise threshold. The signal processing unit is also configured to actuate a switch in the signal path into a second state when the power level does not exceed the dynamic noise threshold.

An isolator includes an input connector configured to connect the isolator to a first device. The isolator also includes an output connector configured to connect the isolator to a second device. The isolator also includes a body including an outer shield. The isolator also includes a coupling member positioned at least partially within the outer shield. Mini isolator

An isolator includes a body including an input connector and an output connector. The isolator also includes an outer shield positioned at least partially around a portion of the body. The isolator also includes a coupling member electrically coupled to the outer shield and positioned at least partially within the outer shield. The isolator also includes a coaxial circuit positioned at least partially around a first portion of the coupling member. The isolator also includes a toroid positioned at least partially around a second portion of the coupling member. The toroid is configured to filter radio frequency (RF) signals. The first portion and the second portion are axially-adjacent to one another. The isolator also includes a conditioning circuit in communication with the input connector and the output connector. The conditioning circuit is configured to condition the RF signals communicated between the input connector and the output connector.

An RF transformer is provided. The RF transformer includes a ferrite core and a winding coil structure formed around the ferrite core. The winding coil structure is in electrical contact with a center portion of the ferrite core. The winding coil structure is essentially electrically and physically spaced from external portions of the ferrite core.

A filter circuit includes a pass band filter and a multipath interference mitigation leg. The pass band filter is disposed along a signal path between a provider-side port and a user-side port. A cord for suppressing noise from a modem includes a hot wire, a neutral wire, and a signal balancing device. The hot wire is configured to connect to a hot power port of a modem. The neutral wire is configured to connect to a neutral power port of the modem. The signal balancing device is configured to connect to an outer conductor of a coaxial radiofrequency (RF) port of the modem and to the neutral wire or a ground wire. The signal balancing device is configured to balance RF signals transmitted through the coaxial RF port.

Systems and methods for suppressing radiofrequency noise from a modem

A cable television (CATV) entry adapter includes an input port configured to connect to a CATV network, a first output port, a second output port, a first splitter connected to the first output port, and a second splitter connected to the second output port. The first splitter and the second splitter are configured to connect to subscriber devices at a subscriber premises. The entry adapter is configured to transmit signals in a multimedia over coax alliance (MoCA) bandwidth but not signals in a CATV bandwidth to the subscriber devices that are configured to be connected to the first splitter. The entry adapter is configured to transmit the signals in the MoCA bandwidth and the signals in the CATV bandwidth to the subscriber devices that are configured to be connected to the second splitter.

Cable television entry adapter

A coaxial radio frequency (RF) isolator is disclosed. The isolator can include an input connector, an output connector, and a conductive body. The isolator can also include an outer shield surrounding a portion of the body. The isolator can further include a coupler within the outer shield and forming a cavity between an inner surface of the body and the coupling member. The coupler can be configured to electrically couple with the outer shield. Additionally, the isolator can include a coaxial circuit surrounding a portion of the coupler within the cavity. Further, the isolator can include a toroid surrounding a portion of the coupler and positioned within the cavity. Moreover, the isolator can include a signal conditioning circuit electrically configured to condition signals communicated between the input connector and the output connector.

The present disclosure provides methods and systems for mitigating signal noise. In implementations, the systems and methods perform operations including continuously determining an instantaneous power of a signal path. The operations also include determining a dynamic noise threshold by sampling the instantaneous power at different times and selecting a minimum of the instantaneous power sampled during the different times. The operations further include determining that the instantaneous power is less than the dynamic noise threshold. Additionally, the operations include blocking communication from the signal path. Further, the operations include iteratively updating the dynamic noise threshold.
