The invention relates to a method for producing a tubular hollow body () with at least three pipe openings, partly or completely consisting of plastics material. It is provided that a lost core pipe (), which has a connection opening () on each of its ends and has at least one docking opening () along its length, is produced, that the core pipe () is introduced into a cavity of a mold, with two non-lost core pieces () being arranged with one of their ends () respectively against the connection openings () in a sealing manner and a non-lost core part () being arranged with one end against the docking opening () in a sealing manner, in that plastics material () is then introduced into the mold cavity to encapsulate the core pipe (), the core pieces () and the core part () and that, once the plastics material () has cured, the core pieces () and the core part () are withdrawn from the hollow body () created. The invention also relates to a corresponding hollow body ().

In a connection between a pipe and a molding, a tubular housing, fixed on the molding, engages around the pipe with an inner wall tapering conically toward the free end of the housing. Arranged between the pipe and the housing inner wall is a clamping ring, which braces the pipe with the housing in a wedge-like manner. The clamping ring is held in its wedging functional position by a spring element acting on it in the axial direction. The spring element can be locked in a prestressed state without force acting on the clamping ring. To establish the connection between the pipe and the molding, a locking clip passing through the housing is pulled out of the housing to relax the spring element.

An apparatus for simultaneously welding multiple molded plastic parts includes a power delivery module, a measuring arrangement, a parameter storage module, a user interface, and a controller, is designed for use with plastic parts that each have at least one fitting with a heating element and an identifying resistor. The power delivery module is designed to supply power to the multiple heating elements and includes a common power supply, multiple independently controllable power switching devices and multiple outputs, each designed for interconnection with one of the fittings. The measuring arrangement includes multiple interconnections for connecting to the heating element and identifying resistor of each fitting to which an output is connected. The controller operates to perform the following functions: cause the measuring arrangement to measure the resistance of the heating element and identifying resistor of each fitting; access the parameter storage module to identify the power output level and power duration parameters for each fitting; and cause the power delivery module to simultaneously deliver power to each of the outputs connected to the fittings and control the power switching devices so that power is supplied to each of the outputs for the duration and at the level identified for the fitting connected to the output.

A fitting formed as a welding sleeve has, preferably, two heating elements and is provided in the region of the plug contacts with a plate which can be inserted into a recess. On the plate is arranged a resistor and the connections for measuring the ohmic resistance by means of a welding apparatus. By measuring the resistance, the type of the fitting can be identified and the current to be fed to the welding apparatus determined.
