The present invention provides a method, wherein the method classifies a subject as suffering from dry eye, the method consisting of: a. obtaining demographic data, consisting of the age and gender of the subject; b. obtaining a tear sample from the patient, and determining the level of human serum albumin; c. from the determined level of human serum albumin, assigning a score for the determined amount of human serum albumin; and d. from the assigned score, calculating a cutoff probability score, according to the following equation: wherein the subject has dry eye, if the calculated cutoff probability score is from 50% to 60%.

Method for measuring tear constituents in a tear sample

A process and a nebulizer for dispensing a consecutively dose of medicament in the form of a mist, comprising: an energy source (ES), an air-conditioning volume, an air outlet fluidity connected to the air-containing volume, an air actuator adapted to release a flow of compressed air through the air outlet at such time as a predetermined ES pressure has been reached in the volume and at least two valve means in communication with the air actuator. The compressed air is released at a predetermined pressure of about 20 to about 100 psig. The valve means controls the actuation of the air actuator such that when a medication is nebulized, a mist distribution of a medication is formed having droplets size in the range of approximately 1&#x3bc; to approximately 7&#x3bc; which inhaled by a user at a set of predetermined intervals.

The present invention provides a pH dependent vaginal composition delivering a therapeutically effective amount of at least one active essentially at a pH above 4.5. The composition provides a diagnostic visual pH indication of the presence of vulvovaginitis at pH above 4.5. In the absence of such indication, the treatment may be discontinued. Another visual signal is the retrieval of the unchanged composition, which also points to a normal pH at or below 4.5 and absence of vulvovaginitis.

The present invention relates to compositions and methods useful for the treatment of ear disorders, administered to a treated ear in the form of a foam or a mousse. Administering a medicament in such forms will increase the residence time of the medicament in the ear canal, provide relatively uniform distribution of the composition, and can increase the penetration of the active pharmaceutical ingredient in the affected area, may release active substances slowly, enhance treatment effectiveness, increase compliance and is more convenient to use than currently available ear medications. A method of image acquisition and data pre-processing includes obtaining from a sensor an image of a subject making a movement. The sensor may be a depth camera.
