A keyboard device and an operating method thereof are provided. The keyboard device includes a microcontroller, a drive circuit, a backlight module, and a plurality of key units. The microcontroller is coupled to a computer device. A detection module of the computer device detects an input mode of the computer device. The plurality of key units is disposed on the backlight module. The plurality of key units each has a plurality of character symbols corresponding to different input modes. The microcontroller outputs a control signal to the drive circuit according to the input mode. The drive circuit drives the backlight module according to the control signal to selectively illuminate one of the plurality of character symbols of each of at least a portion of the plurality of key units.

Keyboard device and operation method thereof

A keyboard apparatus including a key module and a detection circuit is provided. The key module includes a plurality of keys, a plurality of scan lines, and a plurality of return lines. The scan lines and the return lines are crossed to each other and coupled to the keys respectively. The detection circuit is coupled to the return lines and configured to detect a current flowing through each of the return lines and indicate that a switch of each of the keys is in an on state or in an off state according to a value of the current.

Keyboard apparatus

A keyboard scanning circuit includes a plurality of switching elements, M scanning lines and N sensing lines. Each of the sensing lines has a common node extended to M transmission lines. A switching element is coupled where one of the transmission lines and one of the scanning lines intersects. The conversion unit is configured to convert voltage to supply power to the control unit, the optical sensing unit, and the light emitting unit. The control unit is electrically connected to the optical sensing unit. The switch unit is electrically connected to the light unit. When the switch unit is in a turn-off state, the light emitting unit stops emitting light toward a trace surface. The optical sensing unit senses a darkness and transfers darkness data to the control unit. The control unit performs a configured function based on the darkness data.

Optical mouse and method for performing configured function thereof

An input device for controlling multiple computers includes a storing unit, a sensing unit, a controlling unit, and a transmitting unit. The controlling unit calculates a moving direction and a displacement value of the input device according to the sensing unit to determine one of the computers which the input device is in control of and generates an input command for it. The input command includes identification of the controlled computer and is transmitted to multiple computers. The computer corresponding to the identification performs the input command. The moving direction corresponds to a pointer direction of the computer. The controlling unit accumulates the displacement value to be a first accumulated displacement value when the input device moves toward to a first pointer direction. When the first accumulated displacement value is larger than a threshold value, the controlling unit switches the input device to control another one of computers.

Input device for controlling multiple computers and the controlling method thereof

An input device that adjusts its operation mode according to operation directions includes a movement sensing module, an operation direction control unit, a micro-control unit, and a transmission module. The movement sensing module for sensing a plurality of reflection images relative to a light source that is reflected by a reflection surface. Furthermore the movement sensing module obtains a movement displacement amount and a movement direction of the input device according to pattern variations between the reflection images. The operation direction control unit provides an operation direction of the movement sensing module. The micro-control unit converts the movement direction sensed by the movement sensing module according to the operation direction of the movement sensing module. The transmission module transmits the movement displacement amount and the converted movement direction of the input device to a host terminal so as to control a cursor displayed on the host terminal.

Input device that adjusts its operation mode according to its operation direction and a control method thereof

A temperature controlled mouse includes a central controller, a driver control circuit, a temperature control circuit, and a signal transmitting circuit. The driver control circuit generates coordinate control signals and pointer clicking signals, and the signals are transmitted to a host computer coupled to the mouse via the signal transmitting circuit. The temperature control circuit detects the changes of the temperature from a user's hand and thereby generates temperature control signals. The central controller controls the operation status of the mouse according to the temperature control signals, wherein when the temperature detected is within a predetermined temperature range, the central controller wakes the mouse and allows the transmission of signals from the mouse to the host computer; otherwise the central controller stops the transmission of signals. The temperature controlled mouse prevents accidental activation due to negligent bump. Thereby the mouse may only wake from purposeful control and thereby conserves energy.
