A reciprocating motor and a reciprocating compressor having the same are provided. One side of each of outer and inner cores forming a stator are connected to each other, to prevent a magnetic flux generated by the coil and a magnet from leaking out of the stator. Hence, it is possible to fabricate components of the reciprocating compressor employing such a reciprocating motor by using a relatively low-cost magnetic substance, resulting in a decrease in fabricating costs of the compressor. Also, a length of the magnet may be reduced, which results in a reduction of the cost for the magnet, thereby decreasing fabricating costs of the reciprocating motor and the reciprocating compressor employing the reciprocating motor.

A piston displacement device for a reciprocating compressor comprises a piston linearly reciprocated in a cylinder and having a stroke length varied by a reciprocating motor, a plurality of resonance springs for guiding a resonant motion of the piston, and a piston transfer unit for moving the piston forward or backward in a motion direction of the piston according to a capacitance variation of a compressor and thereby maintaining the same top dead center. The piston is moved according to a capacitance variation of the compressor thereby to minimize a dead volume thereof and to increase the efficiency of the compressor.

A refrigerant suction guide structure of a reciprocating compressor is provided. The refrigerant suction guide structure includes a cylinder having an accommodating space inside, a piston having suction channels through which refrigerant is inhaled inside and inserted into the cylinder to be in a linear reciprocating motion, a suction valve included in the end of the piston to open and close the suction channels, and a valve fixing member for combining the suction valve with the piston. The suction channels of the piston include inclined surfaces for guiding refrigerant to the outside in which the suction valve is first opened. The suction channels are formed so as to be inclined to reduce flow resistance of inhaled refrigerant such that the amount of the inhaled refrigerant is increased. Therefore, it is possible to improve the efficiency of a compressor.

Disclosed are a reciprocating compressor and a refrigerator having the same. The reciprocating compressor comprises a casing, one reciprocating motor mounted at a frame unit provided in the casing for generating a linear-reciprocation driving force, a first compression unit for compressing a refrigerant directly sucked without passing through the inside of the casing by receiving the driving force of the reciprocating motor, and a second compression unit for mixing a refrigerant introduced into the casing and a refrigerant discharged from the first compression unit and then compressing the mixed refrigerant once more by receiving the driving force of the reciprocating motor. Accordingly, a refrigerant is consecutively compressed two times, components are simplified, and the compressor is easily controlled. Also, the refrigerator having the reciprocating compressor decreases a load of the reciprocating compressor thereby to enhance the efficiency of the refrigerator.

According to this, a motor assembly is simplified, and abrasion and damage of components are prevented by preventing a motor assembly dimension variation during driving.

A double side action type reciprocating compressor is provided. The double side action type reciprocating compressor includes suction valve assemblies and discharge valve assemblies loaded in a suction passage and a discharge passage to thus control suction of fluid and respectively combined with each other so that movement direction of fluid flowing inside the suction valve assemblies and the discharge valve assemblies is vertical to the movement direction of the reciprocating motor. Accordingly, it is possible to remove the suction passage and the suction valve directly formed or loaded in the piston. Therefore, it is possible to easily process the pistons. Because the diameter and the length of the pistons can be reduced, it is possible to miniaturize the compressor. Also, because the suction valve and the discharge valve are positioned on a side surface with respect to the movement direction of the pistons, it is possible to prevent the pistons from colliding with each other and to prevent the valves from being damaged. Also, because the left and right pistons share the same compression space when the pistons are in a reciprocating motion. The forward and the backward of the pistons move keeping balance. Accordingly, the compressor stably drives regardless of movement conditions.

In a cooling system for an integrated circuit chip, by including an evaporator contacted-combined with an integrated circuit chip installed onto a board and absorbing heat generated at the integrated circuit chip; a compressor connected to the evaporator by a first connection pipe; a condenser connected to the compressor by a second connection pipe; an expansion means connected to the condenser by a third connection pipe and simultaneously connected to the evaporator by a fourth connection pipe; and a mounting board installed onto the board by a board combining means and mounted with the compressor, the condenser and the expansion means, it is possible to perform the operation of the integrated circuit chip smoothly, and accordingly a reliability of a product can be improved. In addition, although an integrated circuit chip is getting even more integrated, cooling of the integrated circuit chip can be efficiently performed.
