Crosslinked foams having high filler loadings, which may be formed from A) a polyolefin having a crystallinity of 21 percent or less, an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer having a vinyl acetate content of less than 15 mole percent, or a combination thereof; B) a polyolefin having a viscosity between 500 and 20,000 cP, as measured using ASTM D1084 (Brookfield Viscosity at 350&#xb0; F.); and C) a filler, wherein the crosslinked foam includes from 10 to 80 parts filler per hundred parts of components A, B, and C, by weight. In other aspects of embodiments disclosed herein, the crosslinked foam may optionally include one or more of: D) at least one polyolefin having a crystallinity of greater than 21 weight percent, an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer having a vinyl acetate content of 15 mole percent or greater, or a combination thereof; and E) a scorch retarder.

PE-based crosslinked elastomeric foam with high filler loadings for making shockpads and articles used in footwear and flooring applications

Thermoformable sheet having a thickness of at least 300 micrometers comprising a blend of: (A) from 5 to 20% by weight of a propylene-ethylene copolymer having substantially isotactic propylene sequences, the propylene-ethylene copolymer having a melt flow rate from 4 to 30 g/10 min and comprising at least 70% by weight units derived from propylene and from about 10 to 20% by weight units derived from ethylene; and (B) from 80 to 95% by weight of a polypropylene having a melt flow rate of from 2 to 8 grams/10 minutes, wherein the melt flow rate of the blend is from 2 to 7 grams/10 minutes and wherein the blend exhibits: (1) room temperature Charpy toughness of at least 15 KJ/m, (2) flexural modulus of at least 1000 MPa, (3) 0Charpy toughness of at least 2 KJ/m, and (4) a value for haze of less than 40%.

Composition suitable for thermoformable sheets and articles made therefrom

Compositions suitable for manufacturing injection molded articles having a minimum wall thickness of from 500 &#x3bc;m to 2.0 mm comprise from: (A) 2 to 15% by weight of a propylene-ethylene copolymer having substantially isotactic propylene sequences; (B) 85 to 98% by weight of a random polypropylene copolymer having from 2.5 to 5.0% by weight units derived from ethylene and a melt flow rate of from 25 to 130 grams/10 minutes (g/10 min); and (C) 500 to 2500 ppm by weight of a nucleator/clarifier additive (based on the weight of the random polypropylene copolymer). Typically, the melt flow rate of the compositions is from 20 to 125 g/10 min, and the propylene-ethylene copolymer comprises at least 75% by weight propylene and has a melt flow rate from 4 to 30 g/10 min.

Composition suitable for thin-wall injection molded articles

The invention relates to a polyolefin-based heat sealable and peelable seal. The peelable seals comprise from 5 to 98 percent by weight of a propylene based plastomer or elastomer and from 2 to 95 percent by weight of a second polymer selected from the group consisting of polyethylene, polybutylene, and styrenic polymer and mixtures thereof. The invention also relates to tamper evident peelable seals. The invention also relates to methods of making and using the heat sealable, peelable seal.
