The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing composite structures formed by two subcomponents of the same material, characterized in that it comprises the following steps: providing a first subcomponent (), particularly a skin; providing a tool () made of a composite and precured for the manufacture of the second subcomponent (), particularly a stiffener; positioning said tool () on said first subcomponent (); applying preimpregnated composite () on said tool () so as to form the second subcomponent (); consolidating the composite structure by means of a process of curing the assembly resulting from the previous steps under suitable pressure and/or temperature conditions.

Process of manufacturing composite structures with embedded precured tools

A process for making a dismountable and/or fixed traction-compression coupling to be applied to composite materials, in which a basic laminate ( ) of composite material is folded at least once to obtain at least one skirt ( ) forming an angle close to 90&deg; with the rest of the laminate; by using a transition radius between the skirt and the rest of the laminate, a set of distribution plates ( ) is applied over the basic laminate to stabilize the skirt and produce a uniform load distribution, making holes in each set of distribution skirt-plates and introducing traction bolts ( ) with an initial pretension in said holes, hence obtaining the connection between the components to be joined. The invention is applicable to the aerodynamic structures of aircraft.
