A construction machine including a first and second implement functions operable by a first and second actuator and a hydraulic system for controlling the actuators in response to operator controls. The hydraulic system includes a pump, a pressure line connected with the pump and pressurized by the pump, a tank line in communication with a reservoir, a first circuit including a first directional flow control valve in command of the first actuator to control the first implement function, a second circuit in parallel with the first circuit, the second circuit including a second directional flow control valve in command of the second actuator to control the second implement function, and a load sense line. The first circuit is not pressure compensated between the load sense line and the first directional control valve and the load sense line is connected to the second directional flow control valve with a pressure compensator.

Construction machine and hydraulic system thereof

An integrated electro-hydraulic unit including an electric machine having a stator and a rotor. The integrated electro-hydraulic unit includes a hydraulic machine having a shaft configured to rotate around a central axis and a cylinder block coupled to the shaft. The cylinder block includes a plurality of bores receiving a plurality of pistons. The cylinder block is configured to rotate about the central axis to generate reciprocating movement of the plurality of pistons within the plurality of bores. The cylinder block and the shaft are coupled for rotation via a joint that accommodates bending of the shaft while maintaining a parallel orientation of the cylinder block with respect to the central axis. The joint is defined by a barrel-shaped portion of the shaft and a corresponding interior receiving portion of the cylinder block.

Integrated electro-hydraulic unit

An integrated electro-hydraulic unit has a hydraulic machine, an electric machine encircling the hydraulic machine and a housing at least partially surrounding the electric machine and the hydraulic machine. The hydraulic machine includes a rotary working group configured to pump a fluid. The electric machine includes a stator and a rotor coupled to the rotary working group such that the rotor drives the rotary working group. The housing includes a front cap and an end cap each having a plurality of tie rod openings. The housing includes a plurality of tie rods and a housing shell encircling the electric machine and positioned between the front and end caps. The tie rods extend through the openings in the front cap and end cap. Nuts are tightened on the tie rods such that the front cap, the end cap, and the housing shell are compressed via tension in the tie rods.

Integrated electro-hydraulic unit housing

A construction machine including a variable displacement pump, and a boom cylinder including a rod operable to extend and retract to move a boom of the construction machine. A first chamber of the boom cylinder is configured to be supplied with fluid from the pump during rod extension while fluid is removed from a second chamber of the boom cylinder. The second chamber of the boom cylinder is configured to be supplied with fluid from the pump during rod retraction while fluid is removed from the first chamber of the boom cylinder. The construction machine has an active ride control mode in which a valve between the boom cylinder and the pump remains open, and the pump is configured to actively damp pressure fluctuations in the boom cylinder by variation of a displacement setting.

A hydrostatic pump includes a first pumping unit having a first driveshaft extending between a first end and a second end. A second pumping unit has a second driveshaft, the second driveshaft extending between a first end and a second end. A port block is positioned between the first pumping unit and the second pumping unit. A coupler is positioned within the port block, the coupler receiving the second end of the first driveshaft and the first end of the second driveshaft and configured to transmit torque from the first driveshaft to the second driveshaft. The coupler includes an internal spline configured to engage the second end of the first driveshaft and a support land spaced apart from the internal spline via an annular recess, the support land configured to support the first driveshaft at a location between the internal spline and the first end of the first driveshaft.

An integrated electro-hydraulic unit including a hydraulic machine having a shaft configured to rotate about an axis and a cylinder block. The cylinder block includes a distal portion spaced from the axis. The distal portion includes an axial span measured parallel to the axis. An electric machine has a stator and a rotor with an axial span measured parallel to the axis. The axial span of the rotor is larger than the axial span of the distal portion. A drive flange is situated between the distal portion and the rotor to define an interface. The rotor is secured to a rotor-receiving portion of the drive flange, and the distal portion is secured to a cylinder block-receiving portion of the drive flange. The axial span of the distal portion extends outside the axial span of the rotor.

An electric and hydraulic machine includes a housing defining a motor chamber and a pump chamber, a motor comprising a rotor and a stator positioned within the motor chamber, and a pump comprising a pumping element positioned within the pump chamber, the pumping element movable by the motor to displace fluid in the pump chamber. The pump chamber includes a low-pressure chamber and a high-pressure chamber, a unit inlet defined by the housing and in communication with the low-pressure chamber, and a unit outlet defined by the housing and in communication with the high-pressure chamber. The pump chamber is positioned radially inward of the motor chamber such that the pump is nested within the motor. A radial cooling channel extends in a radial direction from the low-pressure chamber to the motor chamber such that fluid in the pump chamber communicates with the rotor and the stator to cool the motor.

Electric and hydraulic machine

An anti-counterfeit product of manufacture includes a housing defining a cavity. The housing is constructed of a first and second bodies forming an original joint at a parting line. Inner workings of the product are enclosed within the cavity. An encryption device includes an encryption-coded ceramics-based pin grid array embedded in the first body of the housing. An RFID circuit is connected with the ceramics-based pin grid array. The RFID circuit is configured to report out a confirmation signal based on the code set by the connected ceramics-based pin grid array upon an RFID reader interrogation trigger. The RFID circuit is programmed to prevent future reporting of the confirmation signal upon detachment of the ceramics-based pin grid array from the RFID circuit, such that the confirmation signal is configured to confirm both product authenticity and integrity of the original joint.

Casting embedded hardware encryption

An apparatus for facilitating bucket movement of a material handling machine includes a joystick biased to a neutral position, movable away from the neutral position in a first direction along an axis to a first position, and movable away from the neutral position in a second direction along the axis, opposite the first direction, to a second position. The apparatus further includes an operator input movable from a disengaged position to an engaged position in which a bucket of the material handling machine is configured to automatically move in an oscillatory motion. When the operator input is in the engaged position, an intensity of the oscillation is dependent upon a position of the joystick along the axis, decreasing along the axis from the first position to the second position.

An integrated electromechanical and hydraulic system is disclosed which includes an electric machine, the electric machine includes a casing, a stator adapted to remain stationary within the casing, one or more electrically insulated windings coupled to the stator, a rotor separated from the stator and the one or more windings by a radial diamagnetic gap, electrical power couplings, and a first mechanical power couplings, and a hydraulic machine also disposed in the housing, the hydraulic machine having hydro-mechanical couplings as well as a second mechanical power couplings, wherein the second mechanical power couplings are coupled to the first mechanical power couplings.

Integrated electro-hydraulic machine

A boom lift system includes a primary conduit, a pump-motor arrangement having a motor operable to drive a pump to move a fluid through the primary conduit, first and second actuators in fluid communication with the primary conduit and actuatable in response to first and second user input to perform hydraulic function via the fluid, a valve arrangement configured to control flow of the fluid from the primary conduit to the first and second actuators, and a controller programmed to selectively actuate the valve arrangement in response to the first and second user inputs. When the controller receives both of the inputs, the valve arrangement is actuated by the controller to vary the flow rate of fluid to each of the first and second actuators. When the controller receives only one of the first input or the second input, the controller varies a flow rate output of the pump.
