A caliper body of a caliper for a disc brake may have two opposite elongated portions, each adapted to face one of the two opposite braking surfaces of the disc of disc brake. The two opposite elongated portions are connected to each other by at least one caliper bridge. At least one of the two opposite elongated portions may have seat walls which delimit at least one seat, adapted to house at least one portion of a thrusting element. The thrusting element may be adapted to determine a thrusting action against at least one brake pad associable with the caliper body to press the at least one brake pad against one of the two opposite braking surfaces. The seat walls may have at least one seat bottom wall, in which the axial thickness of the seat bottom wall is less than 5 mm.

Caliper assembly for a disc brake comprising a caliper body and at least one pin; wherein said pin shank is suitable for being inserted in said at least one pin seat through said second seat opening; and wherein said pin shank comprises a first shank portion, suitable for being received in said at least one pin seat when in operative conditions, and a second shank portion, suitable for projecting canti-levered with respect to said at least one first surface, when in operative conditions; and wherein said first shank portion comprises at least one perimetric protuberance of greater extension along the transversal direction with respect to the adjacent shank portions; and wherein said at least one perimetric protuberance is suitable for forming a friction-fit between said first shank portion and said pin seat; and wherein said pin head comprises at least one under-head portion that extends from said pin head towards said pin shank to form a collar; and wherein said first shank portion comprises at least one groove, arranged between said collar and said perimetric protuberance, said groove forming a recessed shank portion, of shorter extension along the transversal direction with respect to the transversal extension of said collar and said at least one perimetric protuberance; and wherein said collar is suitable for upsetting, during the step of press-fitting said pin in said pin seat, said mouth portion of said caliper body in said groove, so as to form, through deformation of said mouth portion, a locking tooth suitable for cooperating with said groove to lock said at least one pin in said at least one pin seat.

Caliper assembly for a disc brake

Floating calliper for disc brake comprising a calliper body and a bracket, wherein the calliper body is suitable for being positioned astride the disc brake, extending from an inner side to an outer side of the calliper, the bracket comprises means of attachment of the calliper for disc brake to a relative support, the calliper body sliding in relation to the bracket in an axial direction, the calliper comprising means of coupling between the calliper body and the bracket, suitable to permit the relative sliding between these parallel to the axial direction. The bracket extends only on the inner side of the calliper and delimits a first seat housing at least a first pad to exert the braking action on an inner side of the disc brake. The calliper body delimits a second seat, axially opposite the first seat, so as to house at least a second pad exerting a braking action on an outer side of the disc brake facing the outer side of the calliper. Advantageously, the coupling means comprise a guide pin and an attachment pin, the guide pin enabling and guiding a relative sliding, in the axial direction, of the calliper body in relation to the bracket and the attachment pin angularly blocking the calliper body on the bracket, preventing its rotation in relation to the guide pin, so that the calliper body is axially guided solely by the guide pin.

Floating calliper for disc brake

A disc braking system () for a vehicle comprises a service caliper () suitable to be arranged astride a disc () rotating about an axis (), said service caliper comprising at least one couple of service pads (). The system further comprises a floating parking caliper () suitable to be arranged astride the disc () and comprising a least one couple of parking pads () housed in a floating structure () of the parking caliper. The floating structure comprises a side portion () and a bracket portion () extending from the side portion () in the axial direction to the disc (). An individual mount structure () is provided which is suitable to be mounted on a fixed portion of the vehicle, and suitable to receive the couple of service pads () and the floating parking caliper (), which is slidably mounted thereon. Each parking pad () is slidably inserted within a respective housing () of the mount structure () that is circumferentially defined by containment walls () being formed in the mount structure () and suitable to contain circumferentially opposed sides () of the parking pads ().

Brake pad and caliper for a disc brake

A caliper for a disc-brake includes two side walls at a distance from each other which delimit a space to accommodate a portion of a brake disc. The side walls are connected to each other by a connecting structure which straddles the disc space. Each of the side walls delimits at least one seating capable of accommodating a pad. The caliper comprises a thrust to clamp the pads against the brake disc. The thrust is secured to the side walls in such a way that the side walls absorb the entire clamping force and the seatings are capable of securing the pads so that the side walls also absorb the entire braking moment. The connecting structure comprises arc-shaped shells, connected so as to be integral with both the side walls. The slenderness of the shells expressed as the ratio of thickness to circumferential extension relative to an axis of rotation of the brake disc is less than 17/100.

Caliper for a disk-brake

A support bracket for a disk brake of the type having a floating caliper comprises securing means for securing the support bracket to the suspension of a vehicle, and support means suitable for slidably supporting a sliding caliper body. The support bracket comprises an inner wall facing the inside of the vehicle and an outer wall opposite the inner wall and spaced therefrom. The inner wall and the outer wall are fixedly joined and arranged one on each side of a disk plane and delimit a space for accommodating a portion of a brake disk. Each of the inner wall and the outer wall forms two pad seats for accommodating pads.
