A controller for use in interfacing with a virtual reality system is provided. The controller having a body with a proximate end and a distal end, and the distal end is opposite the proximate end. A handgrip portion of the body is disposed at the proximate end of the body. An extension portion of the body is coupled at the distal end of the body. The extension portion has a loop shape. A plurality of lights is disposed on a surface of the extension portion, such that lights illuminate at least part of the loop shape.

A controller for use in interfacing with a virtual reality system is provided. The controller having a body with a proximate end and a distal end, and the distal end is opposite the proximate end. A handgrip portion of the body is disposed at the proximate end of the body. An extension portion of the body is coupled at the distal end of the body. The extension portion has a loop shape. A plurality of lights is disposed on surfaces of the extension portion, such that lights illuminate on an inside of the loop shape and on an outside of the loop shape.

A controller for interfacing with a computing device is provided, including the following: a main body; a first extension extending from a first end of the main body; a second extension extending from a second end of the main body; wherein the first extension and the second extension are configured as handles; a button positioned on a surface of the main body, the button being configured to activate a sharing interface for sharing gameplay.

Gaming controller

Methods and systems for processing input by a computing device are presented. One method includes operations for receiving images of a control device that includes an object section, and for determining a location of the control device utilizing image analysis for each captured image. Additionally, the movement of the control device is tracked based on the determined locations, where the tracking of the movement includes receiving inertial sensor information obtained by sensors in the control device, and determining an orientation of the control device based on the sensor information. Additionally, the method includes an operation for translating the movement and orientation of the control device into input for a game executing in the computing device, where the input is translated into a motion and orientation of an object in the game based on the movement of the control device.

Control device for communicating visual information

Embodiments of the present invention address delivery of content, including advertising, in an online or networked digital environment. Undesirable content or content that needs to be removed from the digital environment may be eliminated through invocation of a 'kill switch' that terminates further delivery of the aforementioned content. The 'kill switch' may also eliminate certain instantiations of that content already delivered to end-user client devices. In order to lessen the need for termination of content following delivery to the digital environment, content developers and content providers may view content scheduled for delivery in digital environment &#x2018;mock ups&#x2019; prior to actual delivery. Content developers and content providers, too, may control certain attributes related to content scheduled for delivery to further obviate post-delivery termination or modification.

A controller for interfacing with a computing device is provided, including the following: a main body; a first extension extending from a first end of the main body; a second extension extending from a second end of the main body; wherein the first extension and the second extension are configured as handles; a button positioned along the top surface of the main body, the button being configured to activate a sharing interface for sharing gameplay to a social graph.

A system and method of tracking a user input device such as a game controller includes emitting light from multiple light sources in the user input device. The multiple light sources having a known spacing relative to each other on the user input device and at least some of the multiple light sources are capable of emitting light through a inside surface and an outside surface of the user input device. The multiple light sources can define a plane of the user input device that can be used to track the movement, location and orientation of the user input device. The user device is tracked using image data from a camera. The image data is communicated to a computer where the image data is processed to identify the movement, location and orientation of the user input device.

Game controller with lights visible inside and outside the game controller

A controller for interfacing with an interactive application includes an interface region disposed on a surface of a body of the controller. The interface region includes a plurality of interface elements for providing input to the interactive application. One of the interface elements is an input surface that is defined by an indentation and is configured to receive touch input. Plurality of sensors disposed under the input surface detects movement of a finger of a user. Processing circuitry is used to analyze the movement of the finger of the user over the input surface and transmit signals that are used by the interactive application to drive interaction in the interactive application.

Controller for interfacing with an interactive application

A controller device to interface with a computer gaming system includes a body having a handle and an object disposed at one end of the handle. A touch surface is disposed on one side of the handle. The touch surface has an indicator that is identified by a surface characteristic on the touch surface. The touch surface provides an area for receiving directionality control in response to interfacing by a finger of a user. In addition to the touch surface, a plurality of buttons are disposed on the body. A circuitry is disposed in the body of the controller. The circuitry is configured to receive data indicative of a directionality control and transmit the data to a game console for impacting an action by a program executing on the computer gaming system.

Controller for interfacing with a computer program

Apparatus, methods and systems for interfacing a controller with a gaming system to interact with a computer program rendering interactive content on a display are presented. In one embodiment, a controller includes a handle, a connector and an attachment. The handle has an elongated shape, which includes opposite first and second ends, and is configured to be held by a single hand of a user during operation. The handle's second end, aimed towards the display during operation, holds the connector. The attachment includes two interfaces: a visual interface for communication with the gaming system, and a connector interface that is coupled to the connector in the handle. The attachment can be coupled and decoupled to the connector and allows the gaming system to visually track the location of the handle via the visual interface. In another embodiment, the attachment provides additional communication capabilities.
