A vehicle roof having a support on the vehicle body shell, a roof module disposed on the support and having a roof skin, and a sensor system having at least one sensor module having at least one environment sensor for detecting a vehicle environment, the environment sensor being disposed in a lateral edge area of the roof module associated with a lateral roof edge and being covered by the roof skin, the roof skin having a sensor see-through area for the environment sensor, the sensor see-through area being oriented in the transverse roof direction and being situated higher than the associated roof edge or an adjacent area of the associated roof edge and/or being located above the associated roof edge.

A vehicle having a roof opening system having a lid element displaceable between a closed and opened position, displacement kinematics for displacing the lid element which are disposed on either side of a vertical longitudinal roof plane, each of the displacement kinematics having a guide rail, a front kinematic unit guided in the guide rail and a rear kinematic unit disposed in the guide rail, and a set of drive cables for the two kinematic units. The guide rail may have a first cable duct section for a first drive cable of the set of drive cables, the first drive cable being driven by a first drive motor and driving the front kinematic unit, and a second cable duct section for a second drive cable of the set of drive cables, the second drive cable being driven by a second drive motor and driving the rear kinematic unit.

A shade arrangement for a motor vehicle with at least one shade length and at least one roller tube for taking-up and unrolling the shade length, each side edge of the shade length having at least one flexible, flat guide strip which extends along the drawing direction of the shade and is guided in a guide. The guide contains a connecting link in which the guide strip is guided, and which has an exit gap through which the shade length emerges from the guide, the guide strip being guided such that its base surface is guided essentially parallel to the adjacent region of the shade length. The shaping and dimensioning of the exit gap and guide strip are such that the guide strip cannot emerge from the guide by itself. The shade length is connected to the roller tube via at least one constant force spring.

A motor vehicle roof with a roof opening formed in a fixed roof skin with two transparent successive displaceable covers for closing and at least partially clearing the roof opening, the two covers being raisable at a rear edge into a rear spoiler position. In order to increase the comfort of the passengers, an extendible sunshade unit is supported underneath each cover and can be moved with the respective cover, so that each cover can be at least partially covered by the extendible sunshade unit in the spoiler position.

The headliner can also be raised with the cover to increase the ventilation function. A coupling mechanism is provided for coupling the headliner to the cover for entraining the headliner to rise with the cover but is disengageable for uncoupling of the headliner part from the cover for enabling longitudinal movement of the headliner relative to the cover into said at least one pushed-back position. Engagement and disengagement the coupling mechanism can be position dependent or can be manually actuated.

A wind deflector for a motor vehicle roof having a roof opening and a cover for closing and exposing the roof opening, has a body with a wind-deflecting surface and which is movable between a rest position and a raised operating position and is formed of at least two body elements which are movable relative to one another between a compact configuration in said rest position and a raised and expanded configuration in the operating position. The body elements are coupled to one another and are pre-tensioned towards their expanded configuration and include at least one base body element and an auxiliary body element. The auxiliary body is connected to a displacement element for raising and lowering both the at least one base body element and the auxiliary body element to and from their operating position, the at least one base body element being displaced downward relative to the auxiliary body element as the auxiliary body is raised.

To suppress wind deflector whistling noises, the wind deflector actuating mechanism is coupled to the cover drive or the sliding cover itself such that, when the roof is opened, the wind deflector is raised into the working position on a delayed basis, after the sliding cover is first moved a predetermined distance (S) in the opening direction.

A flexible convertible top (1) of a vehicle with a top material (2) which has a least one layer (4) of a weldable plastic and to which at least one fixed element (5,6,7) is attached. To ensure cost-favorable and modular adjustability of a flexible convertible top, it is provided that a layer (25,26,27) of a plastic which can be directly welded to the plastic layer (4) of top material (2) is provided on at least one surface of the fixed element (5,6,7).
