The pole comprises a securing end, with device securing means and the device actuating means, a gripping end to be gripped by an operator and telecontrolling means for telecontrolling the actuating means. The actuating means are arranged in the device securing means and are directly controlled by the securing end of the pole and thus telecontrolled by the pole and its gripping end under the action of a thrust of the pole towards the support material. The device actuating means comprise safety means arranged to avoid by gravity the control of the actuating means by the securing end of the pole when the spatial position of the pole is inappropriate. The invention also relates to an anchoring device provided with the same safety means.

An indirect fire device for fixing fasteners in a substrate material includes a piston for driving a fastener movably mounted in a barrel and a plug guide for guiding a fastener towards the substrate material. The device is adapted to receive a magazine for receiving a strip of fasteners in order to introduce the fasteners one by one into the plug guide. Each fastener is held in a sleeve comprising bridges for connection to another sleeve. The plug guide of the device includes a zone having an enlarged circular section at the opening of the magazine leading into the plug guide, extending axially over the length of a sleeve increased by the stroke of the plug guide for loading the device.

A connection arrangement for transferring gas from a compressed gas cartridge, has a valve element configured to control the release of gas from the cartridge; a male outlet which is integral with the valve element; a male inlet of a gas receiver for a tool that runs on compressed gas; and a connector receiving and connecting the male inlet and outlet. The connector is a tubular housing having a through hole extending from one end to the other. An inner wall of the housing contacts side surfaces of the male outlet and inlet in a sealing manner. The connector also has, in a middle region, transverse sealing surfaces that contact the end faces of the male outlet and inlet. The diameter of the through hole in this middle region is the same as the inner diameters of the openings in the ends of the male inlet and outlet.

Apparatus for driving fasteners includes a barrel, a fastener guide which retreats as the apparatus is pressed against a substrate, a feed magazine, receiving a loader of fasteners, and a safety element configured to allow a fastener to be driven only after the fastener guide has retreated. There is a safety shoe configured to, when there is no fastener in the barrel, be moved into a safe position and prevent the retreat of the fastener guide, and including a tell-tale of the safe position of the safety shoe.

In the apparatus, a fastening element is driven into a support under the action of the gases from an explosive charge via a piston () that can move in a gun between a firing position and a fastening position, and a plug guide () in which a piston-braking ball () mechanism is mounted, which comprises arms () mounted to pivot on the plug-guide () arranged to modulate the radial force of the balls (), depending on the relative displacement of the gun () and of the piston (), between a maximum force when the piston () moves forward in the gun, and a non-zero minimum force, when the piston () moves back.
