A system and method for a liquid cooled cable arrangement for high-power fast charging of electric vehicles includes a charging connector and a liquid cooled charging cable. The cable comprises several insulated positive and negative conductors for supplying charging current, an inner fluid channel and an outer fluid channel surrounding the inner fluid channel. The positive and negative conductors are arranged within the inner fluid channel. The charging connector includes at least a positive contact electrically connected to the positive conductors by a first connecting element, and a negative contact electrically connected to the negative conductors by a second connecting element. The first and second connecting elements include a thermally conductive and electrically conductive material and are electrically isolated from each other. The first and second connecting elements are thermally connected to the inner and outer fluid channels.

Electrical vehicle charging system for charging an electrical vehicle

A system and method relating to a liquid cooled cable arrangement includes a charging connector and a liquid cooled charging cable, wherein the liquid cooled charging cable comprises a plurality of conductors for supplying charging current and at least two fluid channels for supply and return liquid coolant, the charging connector comprises a plurality of bus bars and a plurality of contacts, and the charging connector comprises a second part made from a thermally conductive and electrically insulating material to which the bus bars are attached and to which the fluid channels are thermally connected such that heat generated in the contacts during charging can be removed by the liquid coolant, and/or the bus bars may include bus bar fluid channels to which the fluid channels are thermally connected such that heat generated in the contacts during charging can be removed by the liquid coolant.

A system and method for heavy-current charging cables for charging an electric vehicles includes a central heavy-current wire extending in a longitudinal direction, a plurality of heavy-current power wires comprising a power conductor and a power wire insulation surrounding said power conductor, the heavy-current power wires extending parallel to the central wire, a liquid tight inner hose extending in the longitudinal direction and surrounding the heavy-current central wire and the heavy-current power wires thereby defining a first hollow area comprising liquid coolant to flow between the heavy-current central wire and the heavy-current power wires along the longitudinal direction, and a liquid tight outer hose extending in the longitudinal direction and surrounding the inner hose thereby defining a second hollow area comprising liquid coolant to flow between the inner hose and the outer hose along the longitudinal direction.

An arrangement for charging of electric vehicles includes a charging connector and a charging cable. The connector includes a connector body with first and second zones, the two zones being separate from each other. The first zone hosts a mating interface with electrical contacts for mating the connector with a corresponding socket of an electric vehicle. The electrical contacts are electrically coupled to the cable. The second zone includes a tube in which the cable is guided from an opening of the tube, which is arranged on that side of the second zone that faces away from the first zone to the electrical contacts, which are located in the first zone, and a handle for grabbing the connector with a human hand, the handle being separate from the tube. The second zone is Y-shaped where the tube is formed by one upper leg and the lower of the Y.

Charging arrangement for charging of electric vehicles

A wet capacitor is provided, and the use of an insulation fluid composition in such a capacitor. The capacitor includes a package of a metal foil and a polymeric insulating film, or of a metallized polymeric film, wherein the insulation composition includes a synthetic or natural aromatic oil and a polymer. The present invention relates to a material comprising reduced graphene oxide, wherein the degree of reduction of the graphene oxide exhibits a spatial variation so that the material exhibits a gradient in the electric conductivity and/or permittivity. The material can for example be used in an electric device for purposes of field grading and/or dissipation of charges. Examples of electric devices wherein the material is beneficial includes cable accessories, bushings, power cables, microelectronics, switchgear, etc. The invention further relates to a method of producing a material for electrical applications. The method comprises treating different parts of a graphene oxide element differently, so as to achieve a different degree of reduction of the graphene oxide within the element, resulting in a sample having a gradient in the electrical conductivity and/or permittivity. The material could for example be obtained by means of applying a thermal gradient to a graphene oxide element, or by irradiation of a graphene oxide element.
