In some implementations, a system may receive, from an analysis system, a data stream associated with monitoring an environment. The system may process, using a first model, the data stream to detect an object associated with a service provided by an application. The system may analyze a monitoring configuration of the analysis system. The system may determine, based on processing the data stream, service data associated with providing the service in association with the object. The system may configure, based on the monitoring configuration, an edge device to access the data stream and host a second model to process the service data according to the data stream. The system may receive, from the edge device, a service output associated with providing the service in association with the object. The system may perform an action associated with the service output and the object.

A machine-to-machine communication platform provides a flexible system for device control and solution hosting. In particular, the communication platform hosts and manages third party vertical solutions that interact with external devices. A third party gateway provides the third parties with access to the communication platform so that the third parties may define, configure, and monitor custom vertical solutions that are locally hosted in the communication platform. The communication platform provides a communication manager that implements a device independent communication facility for communicating with the external devices. As a result, the communication platform connects to, communicates with, and controls virtually any external device.

The vehicle driver monitoring system and method uses multiple data sources to capture driver performance parameters. Data from one source can be used to validate data from another data source. Additionally, the data from one data source can be used to compensate for missing or corrupt data from the other data source. The vehicle driver monitoring system and method uses a mobile app on a mobile device that can automatically sense when a registered driver is in the vehicle with the mobile device, which helps the vehicle driver monitoring system verify that captured performance parameters are related to the registered driver driving the vehicle. The mobile app can also communicate with the driver in real time.
