In one example, an additive manufacturing system. An unsealed air supply enclosure for clean air is maintained at a first pressure above an ambient air pressure to inhibit unfiltered ambient air from leaking into the enclosure. An unsealed processing chamber is maintained at a second pressure below the ambient air pressure to inhibit processing chamber air from leaking out of the processing chamber. An air pathway is disposed between the air supply enclosure and the processing chamber to provide clean air from the air supply enclosure to the processing chamber.

Additive manufacturing system leak control

An example system includes an inlet, a guide structure, a heat exchange device and an outlet. In that example the heat exchange device is in thermal contact with the guide structure to change the temperature of print material. The print material may act on the temperature of a print head die while guided through the print head die.

Acting on the temperature of a print head die

Examples Include apparatuses and methods for generating three-dimensional objects. An example apparatus comprises an agent distributor and a wiping element disposed at a service location. The apparatus further comprises at least one airflow component disposed proximate the service location to generate airflow across the wiping element to reduce build material collection on the wiping element.

Airflow component

An apparatus and method for generating a three-dimensional object. The apparatus includes a build material area, at least one agent distributor with a fluid reservoir to store fluid agent and at least one fluid ejection die to selectively eject fluid agent in the build material area. A cooling system to remove heat from the at least one fluid ejection die has a heat sink. The at least one fluid ejection die is in thermal contact with the heat sink via the fluid agent of the fluid reservoir.

Three-dimensional object generation

A hybrid printer adapted to print onto roll-based print media and rigid print media is presented. The printer comprises a print head that is movable along at least one substantially horizontal scan axis; and drive means adapted to drive lifting means. The lifting means are arranged to cause the scan axis to undergo movement in a substantially vertical direction when driven by the drive means, thereby enabling a distance between the print head and the print media to be adjusted.

Hybrid printing device

An aerosol extraction system for a fluid-ejection device is disclosed that includes a print zone, a servicing zone, a vacuum, and a switching mechanism. The print zone is that in which a print head of the fluid-ejection device ejects fluid onto media to form images thereon. The servicing zone is that in which the print head is serviced. The vacuum is fluidically connectable to both the print zone and the servicing zone. The switching mechanism is to fluidically connect and disconnect at least one of the print zone and the servicing zone to the vacuum.

A medium feeding system for a hardcopy apparatus comprising: a revolving arrangement for supporting a roll of medium, the revolving arrangement comprising a friction ring, the friction ring rotating around a friction ring rotation axis; and a braking element comprising two pivotally arranged jaws, whereby the friction ring is bitten by said jaws; whereby the braking element is rotatable around the friction ring rotation axis; and means to push the jaws against the friction ring; and means to pull the jaws away from the friction ring; whereby the means to pull the jaws away from the friction ring are triggered by the rotation of the friction ring.

Method of feeding a medium and medium feeding system

A hardcopy device having a scanning head arranged to reciprocate across a scan axis, and first and second codestrips arranged substantially parallel to the scan axis, the first and second codestrips being offset from one another in the scan axis, such that the device may determine the position of the head along the scan axis relative to the first and second codestrips in a first set of positions but relative to only one of the first and second codestrips in a second set of positions.
