An aircraft control system including transducers connected by interface units to an avionics network, such as an AFDX network. Each transducer is directly connected to an interface unit local to the transducer. Each interface unit is a configurable unit and has a signal processing module converting data to a format suitable for transmission over the network. Each interface unit may be configurable, via software commands, to operate in an application session mode, a data-loading mode, or a maintenance mode. Each interface unit may be directly associated with one of the software applications of the aircraft control system. The network may include a lower bandwidth part where data communication is conducted over sampling ports only. Interface units may be configured or installed using a plug and play method.

The disclosure relates to a system embedded in an airplane comprising an electronic device intended to be inserted into a frame, a frame that can accommodate the electronic device, in which system the electronic device includes a radiofrequency tag reader, a radiofrequency tag, having a configuration information item, is fixed to the frame such that the radiofrequency tag reader can read the radiofrequency tag once the electronic device is inserted into the frame and the electronic device is adapted to, in a phase of configuration of the electronic device: read the configuration information item via the radiofrequency tag reader and determine a configuration of the electronic device as a function of the configuration information item read.

The subject matter disclosed herein relates to a frame switch of an AFDX network in which the data acquisition application is decentralized. When the switch has to acquire the data transmitted on a virtual link, the switching table contains, apart from the input port and the output port (s) taken by this link, an ID representing the MAC address of the switch. The frames of this link are then not only switched but also transmitted to the network interface of the switch and processed by a dedicated application (DDA), hosted inside the switch. This application can be interrogated by a remote server and transfer the data that it has stored locally.

The disclosure relates to reconfigurable avionics equipment, subscribed to an onboard network such as an AFDX&#xae; network. The equipment has an architecture in two portions, a functional portion which makes it possible to perform the function proper to the piece of equipment and an interfacing portion, which allows the functional portion to communicate over the network. The interfacing portion includes a configuration file separate from the one used to configure the functional portion and able to be downloaded, using the network, independently of the latter.

Reconfigurable avionics equipment and method of reconfiguring such equipment

The subject matter disclosed herein relates an on-board network with nodes linked by wired links, the on-board network being partitioned into adjacent sub-networks, mutually segregated by security elements. Each sub-network can be equipped with access points allowing mobile terminals to connect to the sub-network by wireless links. The access points of adjacent sub-networks use different communication standards or distinct sets of transmission resources in such a way that the segregation between adjacent sub-networks is preserved.
