There is proposed a powder application device P for producing blanks of thermoplastically deformable semifinished products for use as reinforcement elements, starting from a powder mixture containing a meltable plastics powder, comprising a downwardly open powder container B and a perforated stencil L, arranged beneath the latter and spaced apart therefrom, having one or more hole cutouts, said device being characterized in that the powder container B is rigidly connected to the perforated stencil L and is vertically lowerable as far as an auxiliary support or a distance of at most 5 mm therefrom, and is closable at its lower end by means of a horizontal closing plate S having a thickness slightly less than the distance between the powder container B and the perforated stencil L, wherein the closing plate S is movable in a horizontal plane such that it alternately closes and reopens the lower end of the powder container B.

Powder application device and method for producing thermoplastic moldable semi-plastic finished goods

The invention relates to a novel thermoplastic stiffening material used for manufacturing shoes or shoe parts, and to an environmentally friendly method for the production thereof. The inventive material is proved in the form of a hot-melt adhesive/filling compound and is characterized in that it is comprised of one or more hot-melt adhesives and of one or more fillers, which are provided in quantities ranging from 50 to 15% by weight and which do not dissolve in the hot-melt adhesive. The hot-melt adhesive/filler compound simultaneously fulfills the following parameters: 1. MVR value between 2 and 6, preferably between 3 and 5 cm/10 min; 2. Surface tack, when measured according to DIN EN 14610 at 65&#xb0; C., ranging from at least 10 N/2 cm, preferably 15 N/2 cm, particularly 20 N/2 cm; 3. Bonding value/peel resistance with regard to upper materials and linings of at least 30 N/5 cm when measured according to DIN 53357; 4. Longitudinal extension of no greater than 25%, preferably less than 20%, when measured at a temperature of 90&#xb0; C.

An aliphatic polyester amide which is hydrolysis-resistant includes a ternary polycondensation product of monomeric constituents composed of a monomeric constituent A which is at least one diol having a general formula: HO&mdash;R,&mdash;OH, where R,is an aliphatic residue having 2-16 carbon atoms; a monomeric constituent B which is at least one dicarboxylic acid having a general formula: HOOC&mdash;R,&mdash;COOH, where R,is an aliphatic residue having 1-14 carbon atoms; and a monomeric constituent C which is at least one diamine having a general formula: H,N&mdash;R,&mdash;NH,, where R,is an aliphatic residue having 2-16 carbon atoms and is present in an amount of up to about 5% by weight based on total weight of the monomeric constituents, wherein polycondensation proceeds in the presence of a catalyst comprised of constituent D, which is a metal-containing catalyst, in combination with constituent E, which is at least one of an organic phosphorus compound and an inorganic phosphorus compound, and wherein the ternary polycondensation product is subsequently treated with constituent F, a multivalent isocyanate compound, at a temperature reduced to about 150&deg; C. or less for a maximum of 10 minutes so that the aliphatic polyester amide has chain terminations which are partially isocyanate-terminated and so that the ternary polycondensation product has a viscosity of at least 50,000 cPs as measured by an automatic Ubbelohde Viskosimeter in xylene at 25&deg; C.

The invention relates to a process for producing a three-dimensional stiffening element from a powder selected from the group consisting of a meltable plastic powder and a powder mixture comprising the meltable plastic powder comprising applying the powder to an auxiliary carrier in a template screen printing process with the aid of a template and subsequently transferring the thus obtained stiffening element to a substrate, the improvement comprising subsequent to the step of applying to the auxiliary carrier, compressing and sintering the powder with a hot molding plug to obtain a blank; lifting the plug while removing the blank from the auxiliary carrier and further melting the sintered plastic particles of the blank which are in contact with the molding plug; and said step of transferring comprising transferring the further melted blank onto the substrate disposed therebelow while lowering the molding plug.
