A plate-type heat exchanger, in particular for motor vehicles, is provided that includes a plurality of plate groups in order to form first and second and/or third flow paths, a spatial region for fourth flow paths being formed between adjacent plate groups, the plate groups having at least one plate pair having a first and second plate in order to form the first flow paths and the second flow paths, wherein a third plate can be arranged in interaction with one of the first or one of the second plates in order to form the third flow path.

Heat exchanger

A plate-type heat exchanger, in particular for motor vehicles, is described which includes plate pairs. In one example, a plate pair includes a first plate and a second plate that form a first flow path and a second flow path between the plates. In this configuration, the first and the second plate are associated with a first attachment plate and a second attachment plate, respectively. A third flow path is formed between the first plate and the second attachment plate and the first flow path is formed between the second plate and the first attachment plate. Alternatively, the third flow path is formed between the first plate and the first attachment plate and the first flow path is formed between the second plate and the second attachment plate. A spatial region for a fourth flow path may also be formed between adjacent plate pairs.

The invention relates to a heat exchanger, in particular, an evaporator (), in particular for a motor vehicle air-conditioner, with a number of closely arranged refrigerant tubes and at least one cold reservoir (), in which a refrigerant medium is provided. The evaporator () comprises two parallel regions (' and&#x2033;) running across the total width, the first region (V) corresponding to a conventional evaporator in design, the cold reservoir () being arranged in a separate second region (&#x2033;), through which at least a partial flow of refrigerant can flow which also flows through at least a part of the first region (&#x2032;) and the first and the second region are connected to each other by at least one overflow opening ().

A heat exchanger () consists of a plurality of disks () which are assembled to form a heat exchanger block or disk stack () and which are formed in each case from sheets () joined together in pairs and enclose between them at least one cavity designed as a duct. The cavity is delimited by the insides of the sheets (). In the duct, an internal fluid flows in the longitudinal direction of the disks () and, on the outside of the disks, an external fluid flows transversely to the direction of flow of the internal fluid. Each sheet () has elevations () out of the disk plane, which are formed by material deformation and are directed both into the inside of the disk and toward the outside of the disk, the elevations () directed toward the outside of the disk being configured as elongate stamped-out portions.
