The invention relates to a polyethylene which contains a total amount of vinyl groups which is B vinyl groups per 1000 carbon atoms, and B≤B, wherein Bis 0.30; and has a complex viscosity (η*) at 0.05 rad/sec, which is X Pas, and X≤X≤X, wherein Xis 10000 and Xis 30000; and has a complex viscosity (η*) at 300 rad/sec, which is Y Pas, and Y≤Y≤Y, wherein Yis 5 and Yis 350, both complex viscosities (η*) are determined according to method ISO 6721-1 on stabilised samples of the polyethylene, a polymer composition, an article being e.g. a cable, e.g. a power cable, and processes for producing a polyethylene, a polymer composition and an article, and an article; useful in different end applications, such as wire and cable (W&C) applications.

The invention relates to a semiconductive polymer composition comprising a polymer component, a conducting component and a crosslinking agent, wherein the polymer component comprises a polar polyethylene and the crosslinking agent comprises an aliphatic mono- or bifunctional peroxide or, alternatively, a monofunctional peroxide containing an aromatic group, and the crosslinking agent is present in an amount which is Z wt %, based on the total amount (100 wt %) of the polymer composition, and Z≤Z≤Z, wherein Zis 0.01 and Zis 5.0, an article being e.g. a cable, e.g. a power cable, and processes for producing a semiconductive polymer composition and an article; useful in different end applications, such as wire and cable (W&C) applications.
