A dispensing nozzle and a dispensing assembly incorporating the dispensing nozzle are provided. The dispensing assembly comprises a cap body, a dispenser actuator, and a dispensing nozzle. The dispensing nozzle comprises a nozzle base having a mounting end configured to be mounted to the dispenser actuator; and a nozzle body connected, at a connection joint, to a distal end of the nozzle base. The connection joint includes a first surface having an arcuate slot and a second surface opposing the first surface, which may include a post, the arcuate slot being configured to receive the post. The post is configured to pass through the arcuate slot such that the nozzle body is configured to rotate about the nozzle base.

A child resistant closure and dispenser for a container is provided including a pivoting tilt-top type closure and an automatic locking element comprising a push button that locks the disk top in a closed position. The closure mechanism includes an actuator on the disk surface that can be depressed by the user to pivot the top to expose a dispensing orifice into the container for dispensing the substance. The closure mechanism also includes an opening through a body portion supporting the disk-top, through which a push button extends outwardly and abuts an edge of a wall of a body of the closure mechanism. In order to open the dispenser, the button must be depressed into the opening, to bring the button out of abutment with edge, while pressing down on the actuator.

A child resistant nasal sprayer assembly includes a cap body having a base portion and an upstanding wall extending axially in an upward direction. An actuator is rotationally and axially slideably assembled within an interior of the upstanding wall. A safety button extends through the actuator and into a receiving notch formed in the upstanding wall. The safety button restricts motion of the actuator when placed in a locked configuration and enables motion of the actuator when placed in an unlocked configuration. The safety button is integral with a ring portion. The ring portion provides a biasing force to the button to retain the button in the locked position until purposely unlocked. Once unlocked, the operator compresses a pair of winglets, which operates a pump that dispenses medicinal composition stored within the bottle through a nozzle.

A child resistant flip top closure system is provided that combines a flip top closure for a container with a child resistant locking mechanism system, which uses an automatic locking element that is depressed to enable a simultaneous rotation of a locking member to transition the flip top from a locked position preventing opening the flip top to dispense any substance in the container to an unlocked position, in which the flip top can be opened to enable dispensing of a substance in the container.

A child resistant disk top closure system is provided that combines a disk top closure for a container with a child resistant locking mechanism system, which uses an automatic locking element that is depressed to enable a simultaneous rotation of a locking member to transition the disk top from a locked position preventing opening the disk top to dispense any substance in the container to an unlocked position, in which the disk top can be opened to enable dispensing of a substance in the container.

A droplet dispensing assembly includes a spray-to-droplet converter attachment, a cross wall, and a spray delivery tube. The converter attachment is a tubular wall with a passageway between its front and rear ends. The cross wall is disposed in the passageway, spaced from the tubular wall front and rear ends, and extends in a transverse relationship to, and connected with, the tubular wall to define an obstruction in a path of liquid travel through the passageway from the rear end to the front end such that liquid spray impacts the obstruction and converts into liquid droplets that are dispensed from the front end. The spray delivery tube has an exit end mated with the tubular wall upstream of the cross wall relative to the path of liquid travel through the passageway.

A hand-held dose-dispensing pressurized spray inhaler includes a housing, an aerosol canister in the housing having a canister body and a movable valve stem biased to extend therefrom, a fixture stationarily supporting the valve stem relative to the housing, and an actuation mechanism partially fitting over the canister body opposite from the valve stem such that only together with the fixture the canister body is supported in the housing with a clearance gap between the canister body and the housing and for movement relative to the housing and toward and away from the valve stem and fixture. The actuation mechanism provides a child restraint capability requiring two unlocking actions be carried out to convert it from a locked to an unlocked condition before it can move the canister body relative to the housing and valve stem to release a dose of pressurized spray from the valve stem.

A security cap includes a cap body having a base portion and an upstanding wall extending longitudinally upward from a top edge thereof. An actuator is assembled within an interior of the upstanding wall, the actuator being longitudinally movably and axially rotatable enabling cycling between a locked state and an unlocked state. The actuator is rotationally governed by a rotation locking member comprising a push button and an arched biasing member. The push button extends through an aperture provided in the actuator and engages with a vertical edge integrated along a recess formed within the upstanding wall. Vertical motion is governed by a projecting locking feature extending from the actuator. The locking feature engages with a actuation governing edge in a locked state and rotates free of the governing edge into an unlocked, dispensing state, enabling vertical motion of the actuator for dispensing contents from with the container.

Safety closure for container

A container having a neck with a lip is closed by a sheet metal ferrule that has an end pressing a gasket against the end of the neck. A cylindrical part of the ferrule extends along the neck and engages the lip. Transversely arranged, outwardly extending nibs project from the ferrule nearer the end surface than to the end of the skirt to engage a cylindrical skirt portion of a cover.

A glass container is molded with a recessed outlet end having a sharp outer edge and an enlarged lip. The outside surfaces of the lip of the container from a point adjacent the recessed opening are straight in part and convexly shaped in another part and terminate in a portion of reduced diameter at the neck of the container. A closure assembly centrally housing an aerosol 'or pump-type' valve is formed with a depending flange, an annular stepped portion adjoining the central housing, and a concave surface portion connecting the stepped portion and the depending flange. A liquid elastomeric resin lining is flowed onto the concave surface and depending flange portions and cured to form a resilient liner. The closure assembly is then mounted upon the recessed open end of the glass container forming an inwardly diverging channel between the recessed outlet and enlarged lip of the container on the one hand and the stepped and concave portions of the closure assembly on the other hand. The closure assembly is then secured to the container by the crimping or rolling of the depending flange. This action causes the sharp edge to bite into the elastomeric lining, compresses the resilient lining, causing it to flow in the diverging channel toward the recessed opening of the container and fill the channel, and seals the container. The closure assembly can also be used with a metal bottle and will form a continuous structure with the top edge thereof permitting a simple container structure whose edges will not be deformed when crimped.

Method of making a dispenser having a stepped mounting cup

A glass container is molded with a recessed outlet end having a sharp outer edge and an enlarged lip. The outside surfaces of the lip of the container from a point adjacent the recessed opening are straight in part and convexly shaped in another part and terminate in a portion of reduced diameter at the neck of the container. A closure assembly centrally housing an aerosol 'or pump-type' valve is formed with a depending flange, an annular stepped portion adjoining the central housing, and a concave surface portion connecting the stepped portion and the depending flange. A liquid elastomeric resin lining is flowed onto the concave surface and depending flange portions and cured to form a resilient liner. The closure assembly is then mounted upon the recessed open end of the glass container forming an inwardly diverging channel between the recessed outlet and enlarged lip of the container on the one hand and the stepped and concave portions of the closure assembly on the other hand. The closure assembly is then secured to the container by the crimping or rolling of the depending flange.
