An antenna device includes a strip conductor layer, a radiation conductor layer continuous from the strip conductor layer, a ground conductor layer facing the strip conductor layer and the radiation conductor layer, a liquid crystal layer between the strip conductor layer and the ground conductor layer, and the radiation conductor layer and the ground conductor layer, and an alignment film between the strip conductor layer and the liquid crystal layer, and the radiation conductor layer and the liquid crystal layer. The alignment film includes a first region overlapping the strip conductor layer and a second region overlapping the radiation conductor layer, and the alignment state of liquid crystal molecules of the liquid crystal layer in the first region is different from the alignment state of liquid crystal molecules of the liquid crystal layer in the second region.

Antenna device and phased array antenna device

The display device includes a liquid crystal panel having pixels, and an imaging device arranged on a backside of the liquid crystal display panel, wherein in an imaging area of the liquid crystal display panel overlapping the imaging device, the pixels are controlled so that black display pixels and white display pixels are alternately lined up in a row direction according to an operation of the imaging device.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display panel including a display area which displays images, a non-display area surrounding the display area, and a bend area in the non-display area, a first optical film located on the display panel and comprising an end portion which overlaps the bend area, an adhesive layer which adheres the first optical film and the display panel together and a non-adhesive layer located between the first optical film and the display panel, while overlapping the bend area, wherein the non-adhesive layer is in contact with an upper surface of the display panel.

According to one embodiment, an electro-optical device comprises a flexible first substrate and a flexible second substrate which include an electro-optical area, a drive area in the first substrate with terminals formed in the drive area, an external drive circuit connected to the terminals, conductive lines extending from the terminals to the electro-optical area side, and a first resin film overlapping the conductive lines. Further, a gap is formed between the first resin film and the second substrate in planar view.

A display device includes: a first terminal group which is disposed on a front surface of a flexible first substrate having the front surface and is electrically connected to a plurality of pixel electrodes; a second terminal group which is disposed on a back surface of a second substrate and is electrically connected to a plurality of first electrodes of the second substrate; a display region which is disposed on each of the first substrate and the second substrate and overlaps a liquid crystal layer; and first and second peripheral regions which are disposed on the first substrate and the second substrate and located on an outer side of an adhesive. The first terminal group is formed in a first terminal arrangement region of the first peripheral region of the first substrate. The second terminal group is formed in a second terminal arrangement region of the second peripheral region of the second substrate. The first peripheral region is bent toward one side in a Z direction.

According to one embodiment, a display device comprises first and second flexible substrates, a sealant, a liquid crystal layer, a film, a first protrusion, scan signal lines, and video signal lines. The first flexible substrate includes first and second surfaces. The second flexible substrate includes third and fourth surfaces. The film is disposed on the fourth surface. The first protrusion is disposed on one of first and third surfaces. The scan signal lines extend in a first direction. The video signal lines extend in a second direction. The first protrusion overlaps one of the scan signal lines and the video signal lines, and extends in one of first and second 0directions.

According to one embodiment, a display device comprises a light source, a light guide, a flexible display panel, and a first polarizer. The light guide includes first and second surfaces and a side surface. The flexible display panel includes a display area on which the light from the first surface is incident. The first polarizer is disposed between the light guide and the display panel. The display panel is opposed to the first surface. An end portion of the display panel is bent toward the second surface along the side surface. The first polarizer faces the side surface.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first insulating substrate, an emitting layer, a protective film, a resin base, a first adhesive layer, and a second adhesive layer. The first insulating substrate includes a display area and a drive area. The emitting layer is in the display area. The protective film covers the emitting layer. The resin base is at a position upper than the protective film. The first adhesive layer is under the resin base, in the display area and the drive area. The second adhesive layer is on the resin base. The second adhesive layer covers the drive area and an end portion of the resin base. The resin base is located between the first adhesive layer and the second adhesive layer in the drive area.

Display device and method of manufacturing the same

According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes a display device with a first main surface and a second main surface which is opposite to the first main surface, a first member disposed in the first main surface side of the display panel, a second member disposed between the first member and the display panel, and a cover member disposed in the second main surface side of the display panel, and having a rigidity greater than that of the display panel. The coefficient of thermal expansion of the second member is greater than that of the first member.

Liquid crystal display device

According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes an array substrate, a counter substrate, an adhesive layer, a liquid crystal layer, a frame portion, and first and second barrier members. The first barrier member includes a first wall portion having a frame shape and provided on a surface of the array substrate opposing the counter substrate, and first pillar portions arranged spaced apart from each other and each having opposite end faces abutting against the first wall portion and the counter substrate. The second barrier member includes a second wall portion having a frame shape and provided on a surface of the counter substrate opposing the array substrate, and second pillar portions arranged spaced apart from each other and each having opposite end faces abutting against the second wall portion and the array substrate.

There is provided a liquid crystal display device that a high quality image with suppressed display unevenness can be obtained. A liquid crystal display device includes a first metal electrode, a black matrix disposed at regular spacings, and a liquid crystal. The first metal electrode is disposed to overlap the black matrix when seen perpendicularly from above, and a second metal electrode is disposed at a place at which the first metal is not disposed at a position at which the second metal electrode overlaps the black matrix between different color sub pixels.

A display device includes a first light shielding area where two signal lines are arranged between the opening portions of mutually adjacent sub pixels, a second light shielding area where one signal line is arranged between the opening portions of mutually adjacent sub pixels, and a third light shielding area where one scanning line is arranged between the opening portions of mutually adjacent sub pixels. The display device further includes a first spacer arranged in the first light shielding area or the second light shielding area along the extending direction of the signal line and a second spacer arranged in the third light shielding area along the extending direction of the scanning line. A display device includes a first pixel formed by a red sub pixel, a green sub pixel, and a white sub pixel and a second pixel formed by a red sub pixel, a green sub pixel, and a blue sub pixel. The red sub pixel and the green sub pixel are arranged in a second direction. The white sub pixel is arranged adjacently to the red sub pixel and the green sub pixel in a first direction. The blue sub pixel is adjacently to the red sub pixel and the green sub pixel in the first direction. A light shielding wiring layer extending in the first direction is arranged between the red sub pixel and the green sub pixel of each of the first pixel and the second pixel.

According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate and a liquid crystal layer. The first substrate includes a first electrode, a stage including an electrode formation surface, a switching element, a second electrode and a first vertical alignment film. The second substrate includes a third electrode and a second vertical alignment film. The electrode formation surface is positioned closer to the second substrate than a portion of the first vertical alignment film, which opposes the first electrode.

According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel, a first illumination unit configured to illuminate the liquid crystal display panel with light which is emitted in a first emission direction, a second illumination unit configured to illuminate the liquid crystal display panel with light which is emitted in a second emission direction different from the first emission direction, and a controller configured to control the liquid crystal display panel, the first illumination unit and the second illumination unit in a first display mode in which 3D display with power saving is effected, and in a second display mode in which 3D display with a wider viewing angle than in the first display mode is effected.
