A selectively energizable flow meter system comprising a valve having at least one fluid inlet port for receiving fluid under pressure and a plurality of fluid distribution ports and including a valve element selectively movable to direct liquid to predetermined fluid distribution ports, a metering device, and valve element positioning mechanism connected to the valve element. The valve element positioning mechanism is operable upon energization of the system to establish fluid flow communication between the metering device and at least one valve fluid distribution port and responsive to de-energization of the system to direct pressurized fluid entering the valve fluid inlet port to a valve fluid distribution port bypassing the metering device.

Flow meter system

A thermoelectric diagnostic instrument including a housing, a thermocouple device in the housing and thermoconductor means for delivering heat and cold from the thermocouple device to contact elements located externally of the housing. Heat dissipating means including a heat sink for receiving excess heat from the thermocouple device and means for directing ambient air into engagement with the heat sink is also located in said housing.

A fluid control mechanism utilizing a housing having an opening or tunnel through the interior of the same. The housing provides at least one chamber communicating with the housing opening. A seat positions within the housing opening and the chamber. A plug, adapted to occupy the seat and close to restricted passage, positions within the first chamber. Particulate filter means comprising a pressure deformable section which includes a passage to the housing opening partially filled by a relatively rigid filter element. A gap in the filter means passage allows compression of the deformable section.

A high pressure positive displacement gradient pump for two flowable materials utilizing two reciprocating pistons with the pair of pistons pumping in an overlapping reasonably pulse free manner. The gradient of the two flowable materials is created by adjustment of the stroke of each piston. Streams for the pair of pistons are combined and mixed in a mixing chamber. A third pair of pistons may deliver the mixed stream at high pressure to the desired location.
