A reciprocating compressor is provided. The compressor includes at least one functional assembly integrated by at least one compression cylinder and at least one reciprocating piston; at least one electric motor capable of moving the reciprocating piston inside the compression cylinder; at least one set of valves capable of controlling the flow of fluid entering and leaving the compression cylinder, the valves being arranged in a head of the reciprocating compressor; at least one head cover capable of being arranged next to the head of the reciprocating compressor; and at least one suction acoustic filter integrated by at least one outlet pipe provided with at least one outlet path capable of being arranged next to the head of the reciprocating compressor. The suction acoustic filter is fastened to the head cover using a fastener.

The present invention pertains to the technological field of cooling compressors and, more specifically, relates to an anti-flame protection arrangement for the electrical connections of said cooling compressor. Problem to be solved: Ensure end-user safety of the compressor through a simple and inexpensive solution and preventing the maintenance and/or propagation of flames/fire in the region of the chamber defined by the protective cover of the electrical connections external to the compressor housing. Problem resolution: Accordingly, it is provided a cooling compressor including a protection arrangement for electrical connections integrated by a protective cover defining an electrical connections chamber external to the housing, the protective cover being physically associated with an anti-flame body, which defines a sealing portion, preferably making the electrical connections chamber hermetic in relation to an external environment.

The present invention refers to an acoustic filter for reciprocating compressor and, in special, a suction acoustic filter containing at least one inlet pipeline (), at least one outlet pipeline (), and at least one intermediate pipeline (). Said acoustic filter () comprises at least two horizontal chambers (), wherein said chambers are interconnected by an intermediate pipeline (), which has a superior portion () with a length that is equivalent to approximately 75% to 98% of the height of the first horizontal chamber () and an inferior portion () with a length that is equivalent to approximately 45% to 80% of the height of the second horizontal chamber ().

The suction arrangement of the present invention is for a hermetic compressor of the type which includes a hermetic shell; a cylinder block defining, in a single piece, a shell portion and a compression cylinder having an end opened to the exterior of the hermetic shell and closed by a valve plate; a head affixed to the cylinder block onto the valve plate so as to define, with the latter, at least one suction chamber receiving refrigerant gas from a gas inlet pipe external to the hermetic shell. The suction arrangement of the present invention comprises a gas inlet duct defined through the shell portion and through the valve plate and having an outer end hermetically coupled to the gas inlet pipe and an inner end opened to the suction chamber.

The invention refers to a linear compressor, comprising: a shell (); a cylinder () affixed to the shell () and defining a compression chamber (C); a piston () to be displaced in reciprocating movement in the interior of the compression chamber (C) during the operation of the compressor; a linear electric motor () mounted to the shell (); and an actuating means () operatively coupling the piston () to the linear electric motor (), in order to make the latter displace the piston () in a reciprocating movement in the interior of the compression chamber (C), the actuating means () being coupled to the piston () by an elastic means (), so that the actuating means () and the piston () be displaced in phase opposition during the operation of the compressor.
