The present disclosure describes an injector for an internal combustion engine which includes an injector housing, a piezo-actuator control unit having a first set of terminals, a connecting plug on a head of the injector housing, the connecting plug having a second set of terminals, and an electrical connection between the control unit and the connecting plug within the injector housing. The electrical connection comprises a contact element with conductor tracks integrated into an insulating body. The conductor tracks are connected to the terminals of the control unit and of the connecting plug. A first end of the insulating body abuts the control unit or the connecting plug and a second end is spaced from the connecting plug or the control unit. The contact element includes an elastic device by means of which the insulating body is braced against the component it abuts.

An actuating drive for an injection valve may comprise: a sleeve-shaped actuator housing; an actuator unit disposed in the housing; at least one actuator feed line; at least one connector contact; a housing unit; a cover; and a first sealing unit. The at least one actuator feed line may protrude from an end-side opening of the actuator housing. The at least one connector contact may be coupled electrically to the at least one actuator feed line and configured to be coupled electrically to a system-side connector. The housing unit may be arranged along a circumference of the actuator housing in an end-side shell surface section of the actuator housing and configured to fix the at least one connector contact in a predefined position. The cover may close a cavity defined by the housing unit and be coupled mechanically to the housing unit. The first sealing element may be arranged between the housing unit and the cover to prevent penetration of solid, liquid, or gaseous media into the cavity.

A receiving sleeve () for an actuator body, in particular for holding a piezoelectric stack of a piezoelectric actuator, is used to drive an injector of an injection system for an internal combustion engine. The sleeve is equipped with at least one spring element () for centering the actuator body in the receiving sleeve () and/or for compensating component tolerances of the actuator body.

A protective cover for an actuating drive, that can be used as universally as possible, for components () of a contacting and/or sealing arrangement of the actuating drive. The sealing arrangement is embodied in a liquid-tight but gas-permeable manner and ends in a cavity on the outer side, the cavity being covered by a cover () held on the actuating drive by means of a catch connection ().

Actuating drive for actuating a fuel injection valve

A reception bush for a piezoelectric actuator is provided with two connection pins for electrically bonding the piezoelectric actuator, in particular for a piezoelectric actuator controlling the injector of an injection system for an internal combustion engine. The reception bush has a first () and a second () bush elements which are interconnected when the bush is mounted. The first element () is provided with through holes () for the connection pins of the inventive piezoelectric actuator. The second element () is provided with at least one guide () for the connection pins.

The invention relates to a receiving sleeve for a piezoelectric actuator, in particular for a piezoelectric actuator for driving an injector of an injection system in an internal combustion engine. Said sleeve comprises a first sleeve part () and a second sleeve part (), the first sleeve part () being connected to the second sleeve part () when the sleeve is assembled. In addition, the inventive receiving sleeve comprises an anti-rotation element () for maintaining a predefined angular position between the first sleeve part () and the second sleeve part ().

Receiving sleeve for a piezoelectric actuator

During the production of an actuator unit (), which is to be installed in a fuel injector, a piezoelectric element () is firstly inserted into a plastic sleeve (). Two contact pins () are provided for the external power supply for the piezoelectric element (), and are guided outside the plastic sleeve (). In order to fix the position of the contact pins (), particularly before encapsulating the piezoelectric element () with the plastic sleeve (), pin mounts () provided in the form of detent connections are provided for the contact pins (). The detent connections () are designed for fixing the contact pins () in the position thereof after they have been inserted into these detent connections. In one particular embodiment, the plastic sleeve () is provided in the form of a one-piece hollow body so that the mounting can be effected in a particularly simple manner.

A connection device for electrically connecting contact pins, which protrude from an axial opening of a sleeve-type housing, with terminal pins of a plug connector, which are formed by the device, the connection device having a device body having an insertion section that axially engages the axial opening of the sleeve-type housing and comprises penetration openings for the penetration of the contact pins, and a locating face laterally offset and essentially tangential relative to the insertion section, wherein the locating face interacts with a corresponding locating face of the sleeve-type housing in an anti-rotational manner when the insertion section is inserted in the axial opening, wherein the locating face of the device body comprises inelastic and elastic areas which are tangentially opposite to each other in relation to the insertion section.

A device () has a contact surface () arranged laterally offset and essentially extending tangentially in relation to an insertion section (), which, on introduction of the insertion section () into a housing opening, interoperates with a corresponding contact surface of the housing providing torsional stability, with the contact surface () of the connecting device () being embodied at areas of the contact surface tangentially opposite one another in each case with a plastic deformable contact surface projection () and/or the circumferential area of the insertion section having an annular closed area of the cylindrical surface on which a number of elastic, sprung, centering projections (), projecting radially from the area of the cylindrical surface are provided which are arranged at intervals from one another around the circumference. This makes possible a functionally-optimized and tight-fitting interoperation between the corresponding contact surfaces.

A device () has a locating face () offset laterally with respect to the pilot section () and extending substantially tangentially, which, when the pilot section () is inserted into a housing hole, interacts with a corresponding locating face of the housing in such a way as to prevent rotation, wherein the locating face () of the connecting device () is formed with a plastically deformable shoulder () on each of the locating-face areas lying tangentially opposite each other and/or the circumferential region of the pilot section () is formed by a plurality of radially elastic spigots () mutually spaced in the circumferential direction. This enables a functionally optimized and zero-play interaction between the corresponding locating faces.
