A phonograph pick-up arm having a shank which is at least partly made of a composite material consisting of high strength fibres embedded in a synthetic resin, a head for a connection and protection of a pick-up, a bearing connected to the shank for pivoting the arm in a bearing block, and electrical conductors embedded in the composite material for electrically connecting the pick-up to electrical connections on the bearing block. Preferably very thin solid conductors are equally spaced about the periphery of the composite material.

High fidelity phonograph pick-up arm

A stylus unit having a stylus holder with a stylus at one end, a magnetic element captured in the holder, and a locating wire, the stylus holder and the locating wire formed of a reinforced plastic.

Stylus unit for pick-ups and/or cutters

A transducer for scanning or cutting disc-shaped record carriers, in which a movable element is omnidirectionally pivotable, one polepiece being provided for each of the two directions of oscillation. A third polepiece provided in common for the two directions of oscillation is formed by the casing of the transducer.
