A ground penetration radar (GPR) antenna system is integrated into a digging machine such that the system is configured to remain operable under the same environmental conditions as the machine. The system includes a GPR antenna and an inertial measurement unit (IMU). The GPR antenna includes a rectangular hollow enclosure made of a conductive material defining a cavity therein and is affixed to a bucket of the digging machine. The IMU is mounted to the hollow enclosure and provides a space trajectory over time of the GPR antenna on the bucket as the digging machine is operated.

Radio frequency antenna and monitor

A ground penetration radar (GPR) antenna system is integrated into a digging machine such that the system is configured to remain operable under the same environmental conditions as the machine. The system includes an RF antenna and an antenna monitor. The antenna includes a rectangular hollow enclosure made of a conductive material defining a cavity therein and is affixed to a bucket of the digging machine. The antenna monitor is rigidly connected to the hollow enclosure and monitors inertial antenna location and/or movement.

A radio frequency (RF) antenna that may include a hollow enclosure made of a conductive material; wherein a first portion of the hollow enclosure has a bow tie shaped slot; a conductor that is spaced apart from the slot, is positioned within a cavity defined by the hollow enclosure, and is electrically isolated from the hollow enclosure; a first port that is coupled to the conductor; and a dielectric element that is made of dielectric material that at least partially fills the cavity and the bow tie shaped slot; wherein the conductor is configured to perform at least one operation out of: (a) receive, via the cavity, received RF radiation and send a received RF signal to the first port; (b) receive, from the first port, a transmitted RF signal and radiating transmitted RF radiation via the cavity.

Radio frequency antenna

The present invention provides an article tracking and control system that records articles when they are entered into or removed from a case. Each article is tagged with an RFID tag and is identified individually by the system. The system comprises: wireless identification device attached to each article; a case for containing the tagged articles; an antenna mounted close to the cover of the case so that the antenna is able to read the tagged articles entering or being removed from the case, while tagged articles inside the case are not detected by the antenna; processing means for tracking each entry and removal of a tagged article into or out of the case; and means for visualizing reports and/or alerts regarding the status of tagged articles inside the case.

System and case for tracking articles

An expendable, stand-alone, off-board Electronic Counter-Measure system, airborne RF decoy aimed to provide airborne platforms with protection against multiple radar-based threats including Air-to-Air and Surface-to-Air missiles both active and semi-active ones. The airborne RF decoy has the mechanical outline of standard chaff and flare decoys and is safely ejected from any platform by pyrotechnic elements. The airborne RF decoy deceives enemy radar-based threats as follows: immediately after its ejection from the protected airborne platform, the decoy activates an energy source, stabilizes its path, acquires illuminating signals and analyzes threat parameters. Then the decoy alters the received signals to generate an authentic false target and transmits a deceiving signal towards the radar threat. The radar threats locks on the decoy and follow its path. Thus the threat course is diverted from the protected airborne platform and a large miss distance of the attacking missile (tens to hundreds of meters) is assured.
