A system and method for persuadable collaborative conversational AI. The invention introduces a system and method for 'Decidrons', which are units of machine learning that can be grouped together to provide collaborative widely extensible evolving modular polylogical groups. The present invention utilizes stages of cogitation, persuadability and theory of mind to improve and extend the collaborative conversational artificial intelligence (CCAI) disclosed in the parent patent application.

The invention discloses an architecture wherein members of the disclosed system participate in collaborative conversations with one or more AI and human 'subminds' connected via a forum, including conversing in natural language and facilitated by one or more 'facilitators'. CCAI Applications include the creation of widely extensible evolving modular polylogical groups that are capable of collaboration with sentient beings, collaborative control of devices, service worker interfaces, hybrid representations of sentient beings (including via &#x201c;reconveyance&#x201d; of conversation segments), in collaborations that may include, exclude or require human or AI participation.

Computer control of online social interactions based on conversation processing

A method for generating a ring tone for a given caller based on a prior conversation with that caller. A portion of a conversation with a given caller is recorded and stored in memory as a ring tone. When a subsequent call is received from the same caller, identified by caller ID, the ring tone is played, alerting the user to the incoming call as well as the context of their prior communication. In alternative embodiments of the invention, a prior textual or video conversation is used as the basis for a ring tone, and/or the 'ring tone' is delivered by other than audio means. The invention is capable of implementation in telecommunications systems such as cellular, local exchange, and VOIP, and in combination with other forms of internet-based telecommunication.

A computer-based strategic game system for, e.g., playing chess includes a kingbrain that is characterized by a rating and a queen brain. The rating of the kingbrain is automatically adjusted to the skill of the player, as determined by the queen brain, such that the kingbrain generates opponent moves to counter the player's moves with an effectiveness that is marginally above the player's ability. When the player is losing, the kingbrain can assume an aggressive heroic style of play. On the other hand, when the player is winning, the kingbrain can assume a defensive craven style of play. As the game unfolds, the queen brain evaluates each of the player's moves, and audio-visual annotations and game commentary based on the queen brain's evaluations are spooled to disk. At the end of the game, the annotations and commentary are immediately available to the player for instruction. A variation tree can also be generated that shows in graphical form the player's moves and the kingbrain's moves, and the player can manipulate the tree to explore the outcomes of alternate moves that the player might have made.
