The application relates to an infusion part comprising a cannula part (7) and a fluid path, whereby a sealing (18) is positioned between the cannula part and an inlet/outlet opening (12) of the fluid path when the cannula part is in position for use in order to keep the fluid path to a cannula tight. The sealing (18) is surrounding the inlet/outlet opening (12) and/ or the distance dbetween a centre line c of the cannula part and a point on an outer surface of the cannula part positioned at or above an upper edge of the sealing (18) is larger than the distance dbetween the centre line c of the cannula part and a point on the outer surface of the cannula part positioned at or below a lower edge of the sealing.

Sealing between a cannula part and a fluid path

The application relates to a device for an intermittent or continuous administration of a therapeutical substance, such as insulin, comprising an injection part and a fluid delivery part (). The fluid delivery part normally comprises a reservoir (), transferal means e.g. in form of a pump and a house (), and the injection part normally comprises a base plate (), a cannula part () comprising a cannula () extending past the proximal side of the base plate and means for fixation of the base plate to the skin of the user. According to the application the device comprises a base plate (), a cannula part () comprising a body providing a through-going opening leading liquid to a cannula () which cannula () extends past the proximal side of the base plate () and means () for fixation of the base plate to the skin of the user wherein a flexible part is arranged in an area between the subcutaneously positioned section of the cannula () and the fluid delivery part ().

Device for administration

The invention relates to an adhesive pad and a surface plate which in combination can provide a medical device which is to be placed on the skin of a patient. The combined medical device is provided with a subcutaneous part which necessitates that the device is securely and comfortably attached to the patient's skin. Often such devices are used to transfer medication such as insulin to a patient from a reservoir. An embodiment according to the invention relates to a medical device comprising&#x2014;a cannula () or another part to be positioned subcutaneously when in use,&#x2014;a surface plate () provided with a contact surface and with an opening (B) through which the cannula () or another subcutaneously positioned part passes when the medical device is in use, and&#x2014;an adhesive pad () secured to the contact surface of the surface plate () providing adhesion of the surface plate () to a skin surface which adhesive pad () comprises&#x2014;a first surface facing the contact surface and having areas unreleasably secured to the contact surface by welding, and&#x2014;a second surface facing the skin of a patient during use and having areas provided with a skin compatible adhesive which can be releasably secured to the skin of a patient wherein an adhesive part () has been placed between the contact surface of the surface plate () and the first surface of the adhesive pad () in an area where the two surfaces have not been welded together thereby securing these unwelded areas of the contact surface to the first surface.

Medical device comprising adhesive pad

The application relates to a device for an intermittent or continuous administration of a therapeutical substance, such as insulin, including a base part to which an injection part and a delivery part are fastened. The delivery part includes a reservoir and a pump, and the injection part includes base plate, a cannula part with a body with a through-going opening, and at least one cannula having a proximal end protruding from the lower side of the body and an adhesive portion for fastening the base plate to the skin of the user. The delivery part and the injection part are assembled through a connector having a fluid path leading fluid from the reservoir to the through-going opening in the cannula part.
