A block copolymer contains at least a block (P1) and a block (P2). The block (P1) is obtained or obtainable by reaction of a triblock copolymer having the structure A-B-A', where block B is selected from polyethers or polyesters and blocks A and A′ are identical or different, and at least one polymer (PM) selected from polyesters and polyethers. The block (P2) is selected from polyamides and polyesters. A process can be used for producing the inventive block copolymer, a shaped article can be made containing the inventive block copolymer, and the inventive block copolymer can be used for producing a shaped article.

Block copolymers

The present invention relates to a thermoplastic polyurethane obtainable or obtained by the conversion of at least a polyisocyanate composition, propane-1,3-diol as chain extender and a polyol composition, wherein no further chain extender is used aside from propane-1,3-diol, to a process for preparing such a thermoplastic polyurethane, and to the use of such a polyurethane for production of injection molded products, extrusion products, films and shaped bodies.

Disclosed herein are expanded thermoplastic polyurethane beads polymerized from an isocyanate, an isocyanate-reactive compound having a molecular weight between 500 and 10 000 g/mol and a chain extender, wherein customary adjuvants may be additionally present, and the thermoplastic polyurethane has a hard phase fraction ranging from 0.1 to 0.95 and the hard phase fraction is defined by: where Mrepresents a molar mass of chain extender x in g/mol, mrepresents a mass of chain extender x in g, Mrepresents a molar mass of isocyanate in g/mol, mrepresents a total mass of all starting materials without adjuvants, and k represents a number of chain extenders. Expanded thermoplastic polyurethane beads, production thereof and production of a molded part

A thermoplastic polyamide can be obtained through the reaction of at least the components (i), (ii), and (iii), where a catalyst having a Lewis base component is used in the reaction. Component (i) is a composition containing a polymeric compound having two carboxylic acid moieties; component (ii) is a dicarboxylic acid composition containing at least one dicarboxylic acid; and component (iii) is a diisocyanate composition containing at least one diisocyanate. A process can be used for producing the thermoplastic polyamide and a method for the use thereof. A tandem reactive extruder can be used for the reaction.

Isocyanate-polyamide block copolymers

A thermoplastic polyurethane having a glass transition temperature of the soft phase of not more than −25° C. measured using DMA and a heating rate of 2K/min at 1 Hz under torsion based on DIN EN ISO 6721: 2016; maximum G″ can be obtained by a process at least including the reaction of a polyol composition including a polypropylene glycol, wherein the proportion of the secondary terminal OH groups based on the total number of terminal OH groups of the polypropylene glycol is in the range of more than 90%, with a polyisocyanate to obtain a polyol composition including a prepolymer and the reaction of the polyol composition including the prepolymer with a polyisocyanate composition including at least one polyisocyanate and at least one chain extender having a molecular weight <500 g/mol. The thermoplastic polyurethane may be used for producing injection molded products, extruded products, films, profiles and shaped articles.

Continuous production of a PPG-based TPU

A molded body is useful in non-pneumatic tires. The non-pneumatic tires containing the molded body are useful for vehicle wheels such as wheels for cars, bikes, motorcycles, trucks, e-scooters, toys, sports equipment, golf caddy, strollers, or wheelchairs. A process for manufacturing the molded body for non-pneumatic tires is also provided.

Construction of a molded body for non-pneumatic tires

A bead foam is made of thermoplastic polyurethane, a styrene polymer, and an impact modifier. Moldings can be produced from the bead foam and processes for the production of the bead foams and moldings can be utilized. The moldings can be used for shoe intermediate soles, shoe insoles, shoe combisoles, cushioning elements for shoes, bicycle saddles, bicycle tires, damping elements, cushioning, mattresses, underlays, grips, protective films, in components in the automobile-interior sector or automobile-exterior sector, balls and sports equipment, or as floorcovering.

Foams based on thermoplastic elastomers

The present invention relates to thermoplastic polyurethanes obtainable or obtained by reaction of at least one polyisocyanate composition which comprises 4,4'-MDI and at least one further polyisocyanate, at least one chain extender of general formula (I) and at least one polyol composition. The present invention further relates to a production process for such thermoplastic polyurethanes and to the use of a thermoplastic polyurethane according to the invention or of a thermoplastic polyurethane obtainable or obtained by a process according to the invention for producing extrusion products, films and molded articles.

Thermoplastic polyurethane

The present invention relates to a process for producing a thermoplastic polyurethane reacting at least one thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU-1) or a polyurethane mixture comprising a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU-1) with at least one compound (V1) comprising two hydroxyl groups to obtain a mixture (G-a) comprising a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU-2) and the reaction of the mixture (G-a) with a mixture (G-b) comprising an isocyanate composition (ZI) comprising at least one diisocyanate and optionally and a polyol composition (ZP) comprising at least one polyol (P2) to obtain a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU target), wherein the proportion of the employed components (ZI) and (ZP) is matched to the hard segment content of the employed thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU-1), (V1) and the hard segment content of the thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU target). The invention further relates to a thermoplastic polyurethane obtained or obtainable by such a process and to the use thereof for producing extruded, injection molded and pressed articles as well as foams, cable sheathings, hoses, profiles, drive belts, fibers, nonwovens, films, moldings, soles, sporting goods, shoes, plugs, housings, damping elements for the electricals industry, automotive industry, mechanical engineering, 3D printing, medicine and consumer goods.

Thermoplastic polyurethane from recycled raw materials

The present invention is directed to a method for preparing a thermoplastic polyurethane having a low glass transition temperature. The process according to the present invention comprises the steps of providing at least one polyol composition (P) comprising a poly-ε-caprolactone polyol (P1), and a second polyol (P2) which is different from the first polyol (P1), and reacting the at least one polyol composition (P) with at least one polyisocyanate (P1) and at least one low molecular weight diol (CE) optionally in the presence of at least one catalyst (CA) and/or at least one additive (AD) to obtain a thermoplastic polyurethane. The present invention is also directed to the thermoplastic polyurethane obtained according to the process of the present invention and the use thereof in extruded articles and injection molded articles.

Method for preparing a thermoplastic polyurethane having a low glass transition temperature

The present invention relates to bead foams made of thermoplastic polyurethane and polystyrene produced moldings, to processes for the production of the bead foams and moldings, and also to the use of the moldings for shoe intermediate soles, shoe insoles, shoe combisoles, or cushioning elements for shoes.

A polyurethane, in particular a thermoplastic polyurethane, is obtainable or obtained by reacting at least a polyisocyanate composition and a polyol composition. The polyol composition contains at least one polyester diol or polyether diol, having a number-average molecular weight in the range from 500 to 3000 g/mol, and at least one polysiloxane having two terminal isocyanate-reactive functionalities selected from a thio group, a hydroxyl group, and an amino group. A process can be used for preparing this polyurethane, and a molded body containing the polyurethane is useful. Foam beads based on polyurethane can be obtained or obtainable from the polyurethane, and a process can be used for producing foam beads. Corresponding bead foams are useful.

The present invention relates to thermoplastic polyurethanes obtainable or obtained by reacting at least a polyisocyanate composition comprising at least one polyisocyanate, at least one chain extender, and at least one polyol composition, wherein the polyol composition comprises at least one polyester polyol (P1) which is obtainable by reacting an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having 2 to 12 carbon atoms and a mixture (M1) comprising propane-1,3-diol and a further diol (D1) having 2 to 12 carbon atoms, preferably butane-1,4-diol. The present invention also relates to a preparation process for such thermoplastic polyurethanes and also to the use of a thermoplastic polyurethane according to the invention or of a thermoplastic polyurethane obtainable or obtained by a process according to the invention for the production of extrusion products, films and shaped bodies or for the production of polymer compositions.

The present invention relates to a polyurethane, in particular a thermoplastic polyurethane, obtainable or obtained by reacting at least the components (i) to (ii): The invention additionally relates to a process for preparing this polyurethane, to the use thereof, to a molded body comprising the polyurethane. Furthermore, the invention relates to foam beads based on polyurethane, obtained or obtainable from the polyurethane, to a process for producing foam beads and also to bead foams and to the use thereof.

The present invention relates to thermoplastic polyurethanes obtainable or obtained by reaction of at least one polyisocyanate composition, at least one chain extender (KV1) of general formula (I) and one further chain extender (KV2) selected from the group consisting of compounds having at least two isocyanate-reactive groups having a molecular weight of &#x3c;500 g/mol, and at least one polyol composition. The present invention further relates to a production process for such thermoplastic polyurethanes and to the use of a thermoplastic polyurethane according to the invention or of a thermoplastic polyurethane obtainable or obtained by a process according to the invention for producing extrusion products, films and molded articles.
