A paint spraying unit for generating a shaped paint jet, including a paint nozzle positioned in a gap, wherein the paint nozzle includes a needle with a needle head that deviates from a rotationally symmetrical cross sectional design and a paint outlet opening that deviates from a rotationally symmetrical cross sectional design. The needle head is displaceable in relation to the paint outlet opening along a longitudinal axis of the needle for controlling a needle valve formed by the paint outlet opening and the needle head. The needle head, with the paint nozzle in a closed position with reference to the longitudinal axis, closes the paint outlet opening in a positive locking manner. In this connection, the needle head and/or the paint outlet opening is/are formed by a material with elastic properties at least in a surface region with which the two components come in contact.

The present invention relates to a paint spraying apparatus including a housing, a spray head, and a paint container, with a handle, a first receptacle space for a blower, and a second receptacle space for an air filter are formed by the housing. The housing includes a central housing part having a first housing portion and a second housing portion and a rear housing part. The first housing portion is configured so as to be shell-shaped and open toward the rear housing part, with the second housing portion projecting radially from the first housing portion, such that the first housing portion of the central housing part forms a first part of the first receptacle space, and a shell-shaped first housing portion, open toward the central housing part, of the rear housing part forms a second part of the first receptacle space.

The invention relates to a paint-spraying apparatus for generating a shaped paint jet, including a paint nozzle positioned in an annular gap, wherein the paint nozzle comprises a needle with a needle head and also comprises a paint outlet opening, wherein the needle head is displaceable with respect to the paint outlet opening over a longitudinal axis of the needle in order to control a needle valve formed from the paint outlet opening and the needle head, and wherein the needle head, in a closed position of the paint nozzle, plugs in a form-fitting manner with respect to the longitudinal axis in the paint outlet opening, wherein the paint outlet opening is rotatable together with the needle head about the longitudinal axis in order to rotate the orientation of the shaped paint jet with respect to the longitudinal axis.

The invention relates to a spray head having a slot-shaped central air outlet opening and preferably a slot-shaped paint nozzle for forming a flat jet of paint in an air-propelled application process.

In a spray gun for spraying paint and similar media, there is provided a gun housing and a reservoir tank removably attached to the gun housing for holding the medium to be sprayed. The reservoir tank is configured as a commercially available storage container, for example in the form of a paint can, and is directly attached via an adapter to a projection connected to the gun housing. Thus, commercially available storage containers, differing considerably in their dimensions, can be directly fitted onto the gun housing in a short time and by a reliable method. Viscosity settings and transferring of media to be processed from one container to another are therefore not necessary, and the medium can be matched to the particular working implement and application.

In a spray gun () for spraying paint with a gun housing () provided with a handle () with a union nut () screwed onto it that holds an air cap () provided with offset outlet openings () for compressed air, the union nut () is positively connected to the air cap () in a circumferential direction. This embodiment makes it possible for the spray jet to be set in a brief time and without difficulties without having to put up with getting dirty. It is merely necessary to turn the union nut () accordingly in order to control the air supply to the outlet openings () of the air cap () and therefore to influence the formation of the spray jet.
