An adjuster for a vehicle seat, in particular for a motor vehicle seat, includes a drive, a gear stage () driven by the drive. The gear stage () includes a drive wheel () rotatable about a first rotational axis (A) and drive teeth () and a driven wheel () rotatable about a second rotational axis (A) and including driven teeth (). Driven wheel () meshes with the drive wheel () with a fluctuating gear ratio and at least one load bearing gear driven by the gear stage, in particular a geared fitting. The fitting parts thereof performing a relative rotation with a superimposed wobble motion. At least two drive teeth () and/or at least two driven teeth () in the circumferential direction of the associated rotational axis (A, A) have different dimensions and/or different spacings from the adjacent teeth, and/or in the axial direction of the associated rotational axis (A, A), different dimensions and/or different axial positions.

The seat cushion of a vehicle seat, especially of an air passenger seat, lies on a cushion support that is supported by parts of the seat frame. This cushion support lies lower in the area which supports the sitting part of the seat than in the area situated in front of this. The cushion support is designed as a shell (6), which forms a depression (13,14) in the region which supports the sitting part of the seat, said depression being matched to the shape of the human seat.

In a vehicle seat having a safety belt system, the belts of which are connected with the seat frame in the area of the upper end section of the back rest at two upper connecting points lying spaced from each other in the lateral direction of the seat, and in the area of the rear end of its seat portion, the lower end of its back rest or its support slide rails at two lower connection points provided on the respective sides of the seat, the two lap belts are guided along the respective pivot arms (12,12') which are connected with the seat frame in the area of one or the other of the lower connecting points (5) so as to pivot about respective axes extending in the lateral direction of the seat. The two pivot arms (12,12') are formed to resist bending in the pivot direction but to bend elastically laterally thereto. The one pivot arm (12) is connected with the other pivot arm (12') by a transmission that forces an opposite pivot direction. The two shoulder belts (4) run from the respective upper connection points to the associated element (14,15) of the belt closure, because the lap belt (6) is attached to the same side of the seat.

A seat rail structure for connecting a vehicle seat to the floor of an associated vehicle has a guide rail which is to be secured to the vehicle floor and a slide rail which is to be connected to the seat base of the vehicle seat. In a back rest for a vehicle seat, the upholstery support is provided at least in one upper corner area in its front side with an opening to form a receptacle for a belt retraction device, which receptacle is open toward the front and closed at the rear by a back wall lying behind and spaced from the front side. An upper and a lower wall, which form the top and bottom of the receptacle, are connected with the front wall and/or the back wall and are spaced from each other so as to allow the receptacle to receive the belt retraction device without play. Form-fitting, overlapping restraining elements on the upper wall and the facing upper side of the belt retraction device, as well as on the back wall and the facing back side of the belt retraction device, together with a connecting element that engages the underside of the belt retraction device, secure the retraction device against being moved out of the receptacle.

The half-shells form hollow box-like arms which distance themselves from each other from a hollow box-like joining area toward their free ends. The free ends of both arms form the lower end of the upholstery support, which has a V-like shape that is open toward the lower end.
