A double disc grinding machine comprising first and second stock removal assemblies, each including a wheelhead assembly including a base for slidably supporting the wheelhead assembly, a frame for supporting the first and second stock removal assemblies including front and rear walls, each having a vertically extending opening defined therein, a top portion above the opening and a bottom portion below the opening, one of the top portions having a tensile bolster for defining a first liquid container, the other one of the top portions also having a tensile bolster for defining a second liquid container, a reservoir including the bottom portions for defining a third liquid container, each of the containers having inlets and outlets, conduits for connecting the outlet ports of the third container to the inlet ports of the first and second containers and for connecting the outlet ports of the first and second containers and the inlet ports of the third container, the conduit including a fluid recirculating pump.

An adjustable double disc grinder dresser comprising a dresser arm mounted on a shaft, a bracket including spaced opposing walls, one of the walls supporting one end of the shaft for pivotal displacement about its axis and for limited pivotal displacement about mutually perpendicular vertical and horizontal axes, the support including a face to face mounted pair of ball bearings, and a spacer having a width selected to locate the bearing load centers of the ball bearings coincident on the axis of rotation of the shaft, the mutually vertical and horizontal axes intersecting at the point of coincidence, and adjustment screws for infinitely varying the horizontal location of the axis of the shaft through a limited range, and a support for the other end of the shaft permitting pivotal displacement about its axis and for limited pivotal displacement about mutually perpendicular vertical and horizontal axes, the other support including a face to face mounted pair of ball bearings, and a spacer having a width selected to locate the bearing load centers of the ball bearings coincident on the axis of rotation of the shaft, the mutually vertical and horizontal axes intersecting at the point of coincidence, and structure for infinitely varying the vertical location of the axis of the shaft through a limited range, whereby the ends of the shaft can be shifted relatively horizontally and vertically to align the shaft axis.

A double disc grinding machine comprising a wheelhead assembly, a base for supporting the wheelhead assembly for axial displacement relative thereto, the base including a front wall having a front trunnion secured thereto and extending horizontally therefrom, and a rear wall having a rear trunnion secured thereto and extending horizontally therefrom in coaxial relation with the front trunnion, and a principal machine frame including front and rear walls, the machine frame rear wall supporting the rear trunnion for pivotal displacement about its axis and for limited pivotal displacement about a mutually perpendicular vertical axis and structure for horizontally displacing the rear supporting structure along the rear wall of the frame thereby angularly displacing the front trunnion, and the machine frame front wall supporting the front trunnion for pivotal displacement about its axis and for limited pivotal displacement about a mutually perpendicular vertical axis.
