A hydraulic binder which includes a clinker with a specific shape, the clinker including as main phases, given as weight percentages relative to the total weight of the clinker: (i) 70 to 95% of a belite phase having a particle size such that the Dv50 ranges from 5 to 15 &#x3bc;m; (ii) 5 to 30% of a calcium aluminoferrite phase; and (iii) less than 5% of minor phases; the clinker having an AlO/FeOweight ratio of less than 1.5; and the clinker including less than 5% of alite phase and less than 5% of calcium sulphoaluminate phase; and at least 0.5% dry weight of an activator made of calcium sulphate, as a weight percentage relative to the total weight of phases (i) to (iii).

Hydraulic binder and hydraulic composition comprising same

A hydraulic binder includes a belite sulfoaluminate clinker and silica having a BET specific surface area in nitrogen of at least 50 m/g, the quantity of silica being lower than or equal to 5%, the percentage being expressed as a mass percentage in relation to the mass of the binder.

A sulphoaluminate clinker includes as a phasic formulation, compared with the total weight of clinker: 5 to 25% of a calcium aluminoferrite phase with a formulation corresponding to the general formula C2AXF(1&#x2212;X), with X comprised between 0.2 and 0.8; 15 to 35% of a calcium sulphoaluminate phase yee' limit (C4A3$); 40 to 75% belite (C2S); from 0.01 to 10% of one or several minor phases selected from the group consisting of calcium sulphates, alkali sulphates, perovskite, calcium aluminates, gehlenite, free lime and periclase, and/or a vitreous phase, and additives including at least sodium and boron present in the following quantities, by weight as compared to the total weight of the clinker: from 0.1 to 5% of sodium expressed as sodium oxide and from 0.2 to 3% of boron, expressed as boron oxide, the total content of said additives being less than or equal to 15%.
