A table interconnection system includes a connector with two or more end portions sized and shaped for engagement with connection receptacles formed in adjacent tables. The connection receptacles each receive an end portion to retain the adjacent tables in a self-retained orientation. The connection receptacles and connector are located at the table surface in full view of a user, so the user can readily appreciate how the tables interconnect. Moreover, adjacent tables may be pivoted with respect to one another by direct manipulation of the table only, without disconnecting or contacting the connector.

A sleeve type locking device, whether it be a hollow sleeve, a set screw configured device, secures a table base column to its associated spider, as within a counterbore, upon tightening of its supporting rod, during assembly and interconnection of such support to the underside of a table surface, during assembly.

A cable manager for mounting to the front edge of a table to secure and organize electrical cables associated with electronic devices, such as computer equipment, resting on the table. One embodiment of the novel cable organizer includes a modesty panel which has an integral bead retention channel extending the length of the top edge and a bead retention channel extending the length of the bottom edge and mounting brackets engaged in the top bead retention. The modesty panel includes a slide lock assembly extending outwardly from the back side. A substantially U-shaped cable containment channel is slidingly engaged in the slide lock assembly and the bottom bead retention channel. Another embodiment includes a raceway having a bottom wall, a rear wall and opposed end walls, the end walls each have aligned and complementary openings for the introduction of electrical cables into the raceway. A torsion spring biased hinge along the front edge of the raceway bottom wall is attached to a modesty panel which serves as a door to allow access to the cables in the raceway.

A table with cable trough adapted to be joined to one or more additional tables in generally end-to-end relation. The cable trough is movable between open and closed position at the rear of the table. An opening is provided in the table top such that when the trough is closed, cable receptacles are accessible through the opening for connecting equipment that is used on the table top. The rear comers of the table top are notched to provide space for a connector that will releasably retain adjacent tables in generally end-to-end relation.

A foldable table leg for use in combination with a tabletop, the combination having a table surface including a top surface and a bottom surface, at least one foldable leg, the foldable leg includes a leg connecting template fixed to the table surface bottom for securing the foldable leg to the table, a column base support attached to the leg connecting template for pivotally receiving the foldable leg reciprocally between a folded position and a supporting position, a track for positioning the foldable leg between folded position and supporting position, an arm support pivotally secured at one end to the table leg and slidably engaged at another end to the track, the arm support for guiding the leg between folded position and supporting position, structure for locking the table leg in supporting position, a release mechanism for releasing the table leg from a supporting position into a folded position wherein the foldable table leg is light-weight.

An intermating table leg assembly formed to support a table top, with the table pedestal providing the support being formed of two pairs of table legs, each pair of table legs having two aligned legs provided therein, and rigidly held together by means of a connector, with the connector of one pair of table legs interfitting into the connector of another pair of table legs, which are arranged in perpendicularity, when the legs are assembled into a pedestal structure, for support of a table top thereon, when the table is assembled for usage. A styled foot is provided at the bottom end of each table leg to buffer it upon the floor when the table is utilized, and the upper end of each table leg connects a mounting plate, that accommodates threaded fasteners for securement of the pedestal to the underside of a table top, when fabricated.

A flip top table includes a table surface which is hingedly connected to a pedestal leg so that the table surface may be pivoted between a generally vertical storage position and a generally horizontal use position. The hinge which connects the table surface to the pedestal leg includes a lock mechanism which holds the table surface down when in its horizontal and usable position, a release which releases the lock and a latch or arm which will prevent the table surface from falling when it is in its vertical storage position.

A folding table is disclosed. The table includes legs pivotably connected to the underside of a table surface so that when the table is folded, the legs lay flat against the underside of the table. A locking mechanism is provided to lock the legs in an unfolded position, and a release mechanism is provided to unlock the legs, thereby allowing the table to be folded.

A table top support for use in securing the top of a table to its upstanding column, the support incorporating a first base member securing to the top of the column, a second and connectible member securing to the underside of the table top, various recesses provided within the base member and connectible member disposed for reception of shafts operatively associated with both of said base and connectible members, to provide stable support for the table top into its usable and horizontal position, but each recess including at offset portion for reception of a support shaft therein so as to facilitate the stable adherence of the support members together as the table top is pivoted into its vertically arranged and storage condition.

A table leg locking mechanism that secures the legs of a table into operative position when a retaining member of the locking mechanism is engaged, with said retaining member normally being biased into this engaging disposition through the agency of a spring; the locking mechanism includes a cross bar that secures to the table leg(s), a pair of housings having the cross bar pivotally mounted therethrough, with one of said housings incorporating a pair of sleeves, one of the sleeves being rigidly secured internally to the housing, and the other sleeve being rigidly fixed to the cross bar. The retaining member includes a wedging member(s) projecting from one of the sleeves, with a complementary groove(s) provided in the other sleeve, whereby the pivoting of the leg into its operative position allows the wedging member to become wedged within the groove for fixing the table leg into a supportive position.
