The present disclosure is concerned with fertilizer compositions that provide controlled, delayed, and/or prolonged release of micronutrients in soil. In one embodiment, the inventive composition comprises a dry, powdered blend of a first target micronutrient source in chelated form and a second source of the same target micronutrient but provided in non-chelated form. In another embodiment, the inventive composition provides at least two sources of boron, with one source being a water-soluble form and the other source being a water-insoluble form. Regardless of the embodiment, the methods of using the fertilizer composition results in increased uptake of the particular micronutrient, nitrogen, and/or potassium compared to the prior art.

Multi-source micronutrient composition and methods of treating soil with the same

The present disclosure provides novel compositions and methods of forming those compositions by complexing a micronutrient with at least two organic acids, preferably in the presence of a base to form an aqueous formulation. Compositions comprising the complexed micronutrient are tank mix compatible and can be used to deliver a water-soluble source of the particular micronutrient to plants (e.g., corn plants), with foliar application being particularly preferred.

The present invention provides a system to aid in the time-release of molybdenum in soil. The system comprises a dry, powdered blend of a calcium source, a molybdenum source, and a second source of calcium and/or molybdenum. The blend is preferably coated onto a dry agronomic carrier (e.g., urea) for application to soil. Advantageously, the calcium sources sequentially contribute to making the soil pH more molybdenum-friendly (i.e., the pH is increased) for an extended period of time.
