The devices and methods of this disclosure relate to a heart valve prosthesis that is configured to be implanted within a native heart valve having a smaller perimeter annuli with a generally elliptical shape.

Compact prosthetic heart valve device

Stented prosthetic heart valves including a stent frame having a plurality of stent frame support structures collectively defining an interior surface, an exterior surface and a plurality of cells. The stented prosthetic heart valve further including a valve structure including valve leaflets disposed within and secured to the stent frame and defining a margin of attachment. The stented prosthetic heart valve including one or both of an outer paravalvular leakage prevention wrap and an inner skirt for supporting the valve leaflets. In various embodiments, the outer wrap is positioned entirely on one side of the margin of attachment. In embodiments including an inner skirt, the outer wrap and the inner skirt are on opposite sides of the margin of attachment such that the inner skirt and the outer wrap do not overlap. In other embodiments, the outer wrap includes a plurality of zones having varying thickness.

Stented prosthetic heart valve having a paravalvular sealing wrap

Prosthetic heart valve devices and associated methods for percutaneous heart valve replacement are disclosed herein. A transcatheter valve prosthesis configured in accordance herewith includes a frame having a valve support and one or more support arms coupled thereto. The one or more support arms are configured to extend from the second end of the valve support toward the first end when the valve prosthesis is in an expanded configuration. When deployed in the expanded configuration, the one or more support arms have a curvilinear shape, such as a substantially S-shape, that at least partially engages tissue at the native heart valve.

Heart valve prostheses and methods for percutaneous heart valve replacement

Methods of transcatheter delivery of a prosthetic heart valve. A distal region of a guide member assembly is advanced into a heart of a patient. The distal region is docked to native anatomy of the heart. A delivery device, including a collapsed prosthetic heart valve, is advanced over the docked guide member assembly. The collapsed prosthetic heart valve is located at an implantation site. The prosthetic heart valve is deployed from the delivery device, and then the delivery device is removed from the patient. At least a portion of the guide member assembly is removed from the patient. In some embodiments, the docking structure is docked to one or more of native mitral valve leaflets, chordae in the left ventricle, or walls of the left ventricle as part of a transseptal mitral valve delivery procedure.

Prosthetic heart valve delivery systems and methods

Conditioned bioprosthetic tissues for forming prosthetic valves including a sheet of bioprosthetic tissue having a first major surface and a second major surface. The first major surface has a pattern including at least one depressed region and areas of relief adjacent to the at least one depressed region. The at least one depressed region has a first tissue density that is greater than a second tissue density of the areas of relief.

A method of reinforcing or repairing a bioprosthetic tissue for use as a prosthetic valve leaflet. The method includes evaluating a bioprosthetic tissue, identifying a defect in the bioprosthetic tissue, and selectively applying an adhesive to a surface of the bioprosthetic tissue at the defect prior to implantation in a patient.

Bioprosthetic tissue repair and reinforcement

A stented prosthetic heart valve including a stent assembly, a leaflet assembly, and mounting members. The stent assembly includes a stent post frame, a stent post frame covering, and a base frame. The stent post frame includes a continuous rail forming a closed-curved shape defining a longitudinal axis, and a plurality of circumferentially-spaced posts projecting from cusp segments in a direction of the longitudinal axis. The cloth covering encompasses the rail. The base frame supports the cusp segments. The valve leaflet assembly is attached to the stent assembly, and includes a leaflet clamped between one of the cusp segments and the base frame. The mounting members each directly pass through the stent post frame cloth covering, the first leaflet and the base frame. The rail can have a constant cross-sectional shape with a major axis dimension that is greater than a minor axis dimension.

Stented prosthetic heart valve

Methods of preparing a sheet of bioprosthetic tissue for use as a prosthetic valve leaflet are disclosed. A method includes positioning a sheet of bioprosthetic tissue across an engagement face of a first patterned substrate. The engagement face defines a pattern having at least one raised region and areas of relief adjacent the at least one raised region. The tissue is compressed against the engagement face to deform the tissue to a deformed state corresponding with the pattern.
