In various examples, a suture anchor includes a sheath including a lumen. A frame member is disposed at least partially within the sheath. The frame member includes at least two suture loops extending from the sheath. The suture loops are configured to receive a suture, wherein tightening of the suture causes compression of the frame member to constrict the lumen of the sheath.

Suture anchor apparatus

A anchor for an implantable medical device includes an anchor body and a locking member. The anchor body includes a first trough extending along a first axis. The locking member is coupled to the anchor body and rotates with respect to a second axis, between an unlocked position and a locked position. The locking member includes protruding members that define a second trough aligned with the first trough when the locking member is rotated to the unlocked position, so as to form an open path for the implantable medical device to move through the first and second troughs. When the locking member is rotated to the locked position, the protruding members block at least a portion of the first trough to define a tortuous path between the first trough and the second trough so as to restrict a movement of the implantable medical device through the first and second troughs.

Implantable anchor locking mechanism

In some examples, a lead identification system includes a first set of first lead indicators and a second set of second lead indicators. Each of the first lead indicators is configured to removably attach to at least one of a first therapy delivery element, a first epidural needle, or a first connector to uniquely identify at least one of the first therapy delivery element, the first epidural needle, or the first connector during implantation of the first therapy delivery element in the patient. Each of the second lead indicators is configured to removably attach to at least one of a second therapy delivery element, a second epidural needle, or a second connector to uniquely identify at least one of the second therapy delivery element, the second epidural needle, or the second connector during implantation of the second therapy delivery element in the patient.

Lead identification system

In various examples, an apparatus includes a tray including a channel configured to hold a therapy delivery element at least partially within the channel. A retention clip is sized and shaped to fit within a portion of the channel. The retention clip is configured to releasably retain the therapy delivery element within the retention clip.

Retention apparatus

A stylet-lead assembly includes a therapy delivery element and a stylet. The therapy delivery element includes a proximal end, a distal end, and a lumen having a lumen length extending from the proximal end to almost the distal end. The stylet includes a stylet handle including a locking insert having a first channel adapted to receive a proximal end of a stylet wire. A portion of the stylet wire extending beyond a proximal end of the locking insert includes at least one bend. The stylet handle has an opening at a distal end adapted to compressively engage the proximal end of the stylet wire to the locking insert, such that an exposed portion of the stylet wire measured from a distal end of the stylet wire to a distal end of the locking insert generally comprises the lumen length.

In various examples, a connector apparatus includes at least one connector including an integral conductor and an encapsulation housing. The at least one connector includes a contact portion and a tail portion, wherein the contact portion is configured to selectively accept and electrically couple to a therapy delivery element. The tail portion extends outwardly from the contact portion. The encapsulation housing at least partially surrounds at least some of the contact portion of the conductor. The encapsulation housing includes an inner surface, wherein at least some of the contact portion of the conductor extends from the inner surface of the encapsulation housing. With a contact of the therapy delivery element disposed within the encapsulation housing, the conductor is configured to contact and electrically couple with the contact of the therapy delivery element.

Connector apparatus for a medical device

A therapy assembly configured for at least partial insertion in a living body. A plurality of fixation structures are disposed radially around the therapy delivery element proximate the electrodes. The fixation structures include wires having a diameter in a range between about 0.004 inches and about 0.020 inches. The wires have a first end attached to the therapy delivery element and a second end attached to a sliding member configured to slide along the therapy delivery element. The fixation structures are configured to collapse inward to a collapsed configuration when inserted into a lumen of an introducer and to deploy to a deployed configuration when the introducer is retracted. A fitting is located at proximal end of the introducer that releasably locks the therapy delivery element to the introducer, such that torque applied to the fitting is substantially transmitted to the distal end of the therapy assembly.

Lead positioning and fixation system

A novel catheter is described. The catheter comprises a handle, an inner sheath providing an inner sheath lumen extending along a first length from a proximal inner sheath portion supported by the handle to a distal inner sheath portion connected to a cage gripper, and an outer sheath having a second length extending from a proximal outer sheath portion supported by the handle to a distal outer sheath portion connected to a cage housing. The inner sheath rotatably resides inside the outer sheath with the cage gripper rotatably housed inside cage housing. During a surgical procedure, a distal bridge portion of the inner sheath is connected to an opening in the lead sidewall with the lead received inside the cage housing. A gear knob is manipulated to cause the inner sheath to rotate with respect to the outer sheath so that the cage gripper is moved from an un-deployed position housed inside the cage gripper to a deployed position completely surrounding the lead connected to the distal bride. The catheter connected to the lead is moved into and to a desired location in a vasculature. Then, a screw driver is inserted through the housing and inner sheath lumens and into the lead and manipulated to screw the distal electrode into body tissue. Manipulating the gear knob causes the inner sheath to rotate the cage gripper from the deployed to the un-deployed position and then the catheter is separated from the lead and removed from the vasculature, leaving the lead behind.

A lead identification system for tracking a plurality of neurostimulation leads during implantation in a patient, and a method of using the same. The lead identification system includes a plurality of lead indicators each adapted to attach to one of a plurality of epidural needles to identify the leads. At least one clip adapted to releasably attach to proximal ends of the leads is provided with corresponding lead indicators. The trial cable for conducting trial stimulation includes connectors with corresponding lead indicators. A plurality of lead indicator stylets are provided for insertion into lumens at the proximal ends of the leads. The pulse generator also has connectors with corresponding lead indicators. The various lead indicators permit a surgeon to track a particular lead to the corresponding connectors on the pulse generator.
