Imaging devices and methods for generating a color image from a low-light scene. A method incudes filtering light from the low-light scene to produce a first light channel having filtered light filtered by a first filter and a second light channel having unfiltered light. The method includes producing a first information channel and a second information channel. The first information channel includes first brightness information corresponding to the first light channel and the second information channel includes second brightness information corresponding to the second light channel. The method includes receiving the first information channel and the second information channel and assigning the first brightness information to a first color channel. The method includes assigning the second brightness information to second color channel and processing the first color channel and the second color channel to produce a full-color image stream. The method includes outputting the full-color image stream.

Systems and methods for creating a full-color image in low light

An evacuation station for collecting debris from a cleaning robot includes a controller configured to execute instructions to perform one or more operations. The one or more operations includes initiating an evacuation operation such that an air mover draws air containing debris from the cleaning robot, through an intake of the evacuation station, and through a canister of the evacuation station and such that a receptacle received by the evacuation station receives at least a portion of the debris drawn from the cleaning robot. The one or more operations includes ceasing the evacuation operation in response to a pressure value being within a range. The pressure value is determined based at least in part on data indicative of an air pressure, and the range is set based at least in part on a number of evacuation operations initiated before the evacuation operation.

Control of evacuation stations

A bag-based filtering device for collecting debris from a cleaning robot via a debris evacuation station includes a filter bag configured to separate at least the portion of the evacuated debris from a flow of air generated by the evacuation station. The filtering device includes a conduit extending inward from an opening of the filter bag into the receptacle. The conduit is configured to pneumatically connect a receptacle of the filtering device with an inlet of the filtering device to direct the flow of air generated by the evacuation station through the filter bag to separate at least the portion of the evacuated debris from the flow of air.

Filtering devices for evacuation stations

Full-color images of low-light scenes are generated by the systems and methods described herein using only two light channels. An array of photosensitive pixels includes two sets of pixels, the first sensitive only to light associated with a first light channel, the second only to light associated with a second light channel. Thus the first set of pixels generate a first set of electrical signals in response to incident light within the first light channel, and the second set of pixels generate a second set of electrical signals in response to incident light within the second light channel. An image processor receives the first and second sets of electrical signals and generates a full-color image of the scene by processing only signals generated by the first and second sets of pixels.

Systems and methods for creating full-color image in low light

An integrated color imaging system has a housing with an objective lens, photocathode and image intensifier. The image intensifier has radiation sensitive sensors and a phosphor screen. A rotatable first filter wheel is located between the objective lens and the photocathode. The first filter wheel can include first channels selectively positionable in an optical path of the image, and at least one of the first channels is clear and unfiltered. A rotatable second filter wheel can be located inside the housing between the phosphor screen and an eyepiece lens of the housing. The second filter wheel can include second channels selectively positionable in the optical path between the phosphor screen and the eyepiece lens, and at least one of the second channels is clear and unfiltered. The clear and unfiltered channels of the first and second filter wheels can be selectively aligned and held in the optical path.

System and apparatus for color imaging device

A novel micro camera module that is manually adjustable between a close-up mode and an infinite mode includes a lens assembly adjustably mounted within a sleeve that is adjustably mounted into a housing. In a particular embodiment the sleeve includes a channel (cam groove) that is engaged by a plurality of pins fixed to the housing. Further, a biasing member is disposed between the sleeve and the housing such that an upward force will enable the pins to firmly engage the lower portion of the channel. In a more particular embodiment, the channel defines two detents that secure the sleeve into predetermined positions with respect to the housing. In an even more particular embodiment, the channel is sloped such that upon rotation of the sleeve, the distance between the lens assembly and an image capture device is changed. In another particular embodiment, the camera module includes an electrical mode detecting switch that is indicative of the position of the camera module.

The systems and methods described herein provide imaging systems for imaging a scene. The imaging system includes an optical head, a processor, and an analog communication port. The processor receives captured digital image data from the optical head. The processor sends the image data to the analog communication port to generate an analog video stream that is protocol compatible with typical closed-circuit television (CCTV) networks, such as PAL or NTSC. The imaging system has a physical interface that allows the system to plug into a conventional CCTV network. To generate a video stream that is protocol compatible with the CCTV network, the analog communication port may down sample the digital image data to generate a PAL or NTSC compatible image. The down sampled digital image data is converted to a compliant analog signal and delivered over the physical layer of the CCTV network for display on a conventional television monitor.

A novel micro camera module includes a lens assembly adjustably mounted within a graduated receiver portion of a housing. The lens assembly slidably contacts the graduated receiver portion when the lens assembly is moved a distance along an axis perpendicular to the sensor array of an image capture device of the camera module. Further, a resilient ring-shaped member can be coupled between the lens assembly and the housing.
