Techniques are described herein for marking virtual objects. An exemplary system includes one or more processors; and a non-transitory computer-readable medium coupled to the one or more processors and storing instructions thereon. The instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to: (1) receive a transaction listing from a first entity, the transaction listing including (i) a digital asset that is associated with a virtual object in a virtual environment and (ii) a status of the digital asset indicating an active association with the first entity, (2) generate a transaction based upon the transaction listing, the transaction including an indication of the virtual object, (3) record the transaction in a distributed ledger, and (4) responsive to recording the transaction in the distributed ledger, cause the status of the digital asset to be displayed when the virtual object is viewed in the virtual environment.

Systems and methods for marking virtual objects

The present techniques relate to, inter alia, cryptographically-verifiable insurance credentials and cryptographically-verifiable property transfer. The novel methods and systems of decentralized identity discussed herein improve user experience (whether individual or organizational) by moving control over identity from the hands of centralized entities, back to where it belongs—i.e., to the hands of individual organizations and users. In one aspect, a method includes obtaining a scanned image; processing the scanned image; transmitting a claim request; and receiving and storing an attestation response, and a computing system includes a processor; and a memory having stored thereon computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the computing system to: receive a claim request; cryptographically verify the claim; and transmit an attestation response.

Decentralized identity methods and systems

A computer-implemented method for identifying a property usage type based upon sensor data includes, with customer permission or affirmative consent, receiving data generated by various sensors; generating a report that includes a listing of events recorded by each sensor; analyzing data from the report to determine a property usage type score; receiving data regarding types and levels of insurance coverage associated with the property usage type score; receiving data derived from a homeowner's insurance policy; comparing the types and levels of insurance coverage associated with the property usage type score with the types and levels of insurance coverage from the homeowner's current insurance policy; and transmitting a message to the homeowner to update their insurance policy if there are differences between (i) the insurance coverage that the homeowner has, and (ii) the insurance coverage the homeowner should have based upon the property usage type score.
