A composition in which the volatile silicone is partially or fully replaced by a plant oil. The plant oil containing composition is parity or better than the volatile silicone containing material but at lower cost. One example comprises a mixing product of at least one material chosen from antiperspirant actives and deodorant actives; greater than 10 weight % of a plant oil: and less than 40 weight % of a volatile silicone oil. Another examples comprises a mixing product of greater than 10 weight % of a plant oil; a gellant for the composition; and less than 40 weight % of a volatile silicone oil, wherein the composition does not contain an antiperspirant active or deodorant active.

Antiperspirant/deodorant composition

A composition comprising at least one active chosen from at least one antiperspirant active and at least one deodorant active; a first gellant chosen from at least one fatty alcohol and at least one hydrocarbon of the formula CH, wherein n is about 20 to about 100, and the hydrocarbon is at least 90% linear; at least one soybean oil having an iodine value of greater than 0 to about 20; and at least one silicone.

Antiperspirant/deodorant compositions

A low residue antiperspirant and/or deodorant composition in the form of an anhydrous, surfactant-free and antiseptic alcohol-free suspension exhibiting a syneresis of less than 8% which is made by combining selected amounts of: (a) a cyclomethicone (and) dimethicone crosspolymer made with an &#x2261;Si&#x2014;H containing polysiloxane and an alpha, omega-diene of formula CH&#x2550;CH(CH)CH&#x2550;CHwhich crosspolymer has a viscosity in the range of 50,000&#x2013;3,000,000 centipoise, preferably with a nonvolatiles content of 10&#x2013;14% in cyclomethicone; (b) polyethylene beads having a density in the range of 0.91&#x2013;0.98 grams/cmand a particle size in the range of 5&#x2013;40 microns; (c) a volatile silicone; (d) an emollient (or a mixture of two or more emollients) which may include a non-volatile silicone and an additional amount of a volatile silicone; and (e) an effective amount of an antiperspirant active material in an amount sufficient to have an antiperspirant and/or a deodorant effect.

Effective soft solid personal care product

A low residue antiperspirant and/or deodorant composition in the form of an anhydrous, surfactant-free and antiseptic alcohol-free suspension exhibiting a syneresis of less than 8% is disclosed which comprises: (a) a dimethicone/vinyldimethicone crosspolymer composition made by reacting a polymethylhydrogensiloxane with an alpha, omega-divinylpolydimethyl siloxane for which the dimethicone/vinyldimethicone crosspolymer composition is used at a concentration of 0.5&#x2013;10% in cyclomethicone; (b) polyethylene beads having a density in the range of 0.91&#x2013;0.98 grams/cmand a particle size in the range of 5&#x2013;40 microns, wherein the polyethylene beads are used in an amount of at least 2% by weight based on the total weight of the composition; (c) a volatile silicone; (d) an emollient or mixture of two or more emollients; and (e) an effective amount of an antiperspirant active material.

Stable and efficacious soft solid product

This invention comprises low residue cosmetic compositions (especially underarm products) which are made by combining an active ingredient; a silicone gel material itself comprising an elastomer composition; and at least one selected surfactant having an HLB value in the range of 8-16. The compositions of this invention exhibit reduced or eliminated film formation when applied to the skin and increased availABILity of the active ingredient.

Low Residue cosmetic composition

Disclosed are antiperspirant stick compositions that exhibit substantially less visible residue (whitening) upon application to the skin or after drying and which exhibit improved aesthetics and superior cosmetic properties. The compositions include (a) non-volatile emollients that are not silicone materials and which have (individually or as a mixture) a refractive index of at least 1.4460, and which have adsorption and desorption properties relative to the antiperspirant material sufficient to achieve the desired reduction in residue (whiteness); (b) a vehicle (for example, cyclomethicone), (c) a gelling agent (for example, stearyl alcohol and hydrogenated castor oil); (d) at least one active antiperspirant material (for example, particulate antiperspirant metal salts); and (e) a surfactant.

Antiperspirant stick with improved characteristics

Disclosed are antiperspirant stick compositions that exhibit substantially no visible residue (whitening) upon application to the skin or after drying. The compositions include both emollients that are silicone materials and emollients that are not silicone materials, these materials having a refractive index of at least 1.4460, in addition to including a vehicle (for example, cyclomethicone), a gelling agent (for example, stearyl alcohol and hydrogenated castor oil) and the active antiperspirant material (for example, particulate antiperspirant metal salts). These compositions reduce the necessity of using expensive silicone materials, while still achieving antiperspirant compositions with substantially no visible residue.
