Disclosed is a device for estimating a load in a bearing, including a receiving unit for receiving a sensor signal waveform. The sensor signal waveform is provided by at least one sensor probe arranged at the bearing. The at least one sensor probe is configured to measure a displacement and/or strain of the bearing. The sensor signal waveform is a product of a carrier waveform and a load waveform, and an electronic control unit configured for processing the received measured sensor signal waveform, by determining a rolling element frequency from the measured sensor signal waveform, determining the carrier waveform based on the determined rolling element frequency and the measured sensor signal waveform, determining the load waveform based on determined carrier waveform and the measured sensor signal waveform, and estimating the load in the bearing from the determined load waveform.

Device and method for estimating a load in a bearing having high frequent oscillations

A method of identifying at least one defect of a rotating component, where the defect is selected from a group of predefined defects, includes extracting frequency data related to each of the predefined defects in order to form a first spectrum signature for each of the predefined defects. Also measuring at least one vibration signal produced by the rotating component to obtain at least two second spectrums, filtering each second spectrum based on an exponential smoothing algorithm, selecting peaks in each second spectrum according to a prominence of each of the peaks, setting selected peaks to zero if the selected peaks are not present in a predefined number of consecutive second spectrums, and calculating a probability that each first spectrum signature corresponds to at least one of the second spectrums.

A hub assembly includes an inner rotatable hub having inboard and outboard axial ends, a radial flange extending outwardly from the outboard axial end and connectable with the wheel, an inner circumferential surface, and an opposing outer circumferential surface providing inboard and outboard inner races. An outer hub is disposed about the inner hub, connectable with the chassis and has inboard and outboard axial ends, an outer circumferential surface and an inner circumferential surface. The inner surface provides inboard and outboard outer races and a central surface section extending between the two outer races. First and second sets of rolling elements are disposed between the inner and outer races. One or more sensors are each disposed on the central surface section of the outer hub and are each configured to sense strain within the outer hub generated by the rolling elements.

A monitoring device for monitoring a bearing in an electromagnetic field environment includes a vibration sensor for delivering at least one measurement that includes at least one vibration frequency generated by a bearing, and a processing module that includes a first processing module configured to determine at least one normalized measured value from the at least one vibration frequency, a filtering module configured to compare the normalized measured value to at least one predetermined normalized reference value indicative of electromagnetic phenomena acting on the bearing, and a second processing module configured to process the at least one vibration frequency to determine a bearing defect if the normalized measured value is different from the at least one predetermined normalized reference value.
